re:birth

My husband and I took re:birth’s childbirth prep course recommended by a friend. Our one-on-one course was tailored to our personal situation and needs, and scheduled based on our availability. Amie is a wealth of knowledge and offered lots of the details we wanted to hear about and answered our many questions. We came out of our course feeling well-prepared for whatever may happen during labour, delivery and postpartum (including feeding, recovery, etc.) and appreciate the additional resources shared since completing our course. I felt informed and able to make the best possible decisions when I ended up having an unplanned home birth! We highly recommend the childbirth education course to anyone looking to feel supported and confident in their decision-making and comfortable navigating possible outcomes for something you really can’t plan, but want to feel best prepared for. We can’t say enough great things about Jenn and Amie! They are so knowledgeable, empathetic, caring and supportive. With the preparation and arrival of our first child, we had such great support, whether it was learning about baby wearing in a hands-on session, support with breastfeeding post C-section, or with anything else that came up for us, we navigated these uncharted waters with ease and confidence. They always answered any questions we had quickly and with lots of detail and examples to help us on our way.We so appreciated their help with things like introducing our dog to our baby, talking about self-care, rest and recovery, unpacking our birth experience and so much more! We can definitely say that our journey into parenthood would not have been as seamless or the same without their kindness and support. We found they were up-to-date and knowledgeable (paced bottle feeding, baby wearing safety, avoiding purple pushing, for example) and most importantly, they truly care about supporting families during what can be a raw and emotional time.
