It's incredible that canadian citizens cannot access healthcare in their own country... I recently moved to Quebec from Ontario and wanted to see a doctor, only to find that every clinic I entered turned me away for having an Ontario health card. I would apply for a Quebec health card, but I am required to live in the province for 6 months before I am even eligible to apply.I looked everywhere for answers to my questions. I called health care hotlines in Ontario who wanted to help, but could only send me to Quebec info centres. When I called the Quebec hotlines asking the same question, they literally simply hung up on me after asking. No explanation. The impression the Ontario info centres gave me was that Quebec healthcare is particularly hostile and difficult to work with when coming from other provinces. I cannot think of any justification for this. I am a Canadian citizen without access to healthcare. It should be illegalJust to highlight how absurd this reality is, in the European union, every nations healthcare systems MUST accept the care of any citizen in the EU. If your from Ireland and go to a hospital in Greece, they accept you free of charge. These are SOVEREIGN NATIONS, and the provinces of Canada can't offer the same to their own fellow citizens....It's been since the 60s since we established our healthcare system, which is funded via federal tax dollars. We all collectively pay into this, I can't help but feel this is a deliberate attempt to make people feel unwelcom... or perhaps it's just bureaucratic lunacy. All canadian health cards should be accepted WITHOUT QUESTION. This should be law. They should have no right to deny people their right to healthcare no matter the circumstances. It's outrageous and injust. Shame on you Quebec for deliberatly making this difficult. Shame on Canada for not fixing this obvious hole in our healthcare.

This institution is nothing but a dysfunctional and disgraceful institution filled with lies and incompatibility. For decades you haven't even done nothing to reduce hospital wait times in the ER. You let patients die before they see a doctor, keeping them waiting. Well then you people are nothing more than pure savages.

A Public Health Department that doesn't answer the public's questions??? How about providing a phone number or the correct website that we can refer to?
