Leela Indian Food Bar - Gerrard
This restaurant we found filled with flies, both inside and outside. The appetizer we ordered was great! It was the Mumbai chicken. For the main we ordered the butter chicken and Naan. We ordered garlic and butter Naan.Both naans was store brought and not fresh made. The Naan had mold as shown in the pic attached.We also ordered 2 soft drinks.. Which came up to almost $8.Overall I would not recommend this RESTAURANT.

Had to give a shout out to this place. An amazing experience with food and hospitality. Getting greeted with a happy face is the first thing that caught my attention. Our server was very polite. She recommended us the top selling dishes and no doubt it was the best Indian meal I had last night.

Went for a quick and light dinner here, great service with great ambience. Really enjoyed their recommendation of the Lasoonj cauliflower. Moreover, their pani puri and samosa chaat were really great too. I’d definitely come here again with plenty of seating as well and a helpful staff, keep it up!

This is definitely my new favourite Indian Restaurant in the city. The food , the authentic vibes and the service was amazing! We got the lasooni cauliflower, chaat papri and saffron lamb korma with jeera rice & it was heavenly. Reasonably priced and Honey, our server was especially helpful in recommending dishes and ensuring our drinks were to our liking. I can't wait to bring my parents & friends here ! Highly recommended!

Overall the food was fantastic. The shrimp, the chicken tikka, daal and chaat were my favourites. The signature cauliflower dish and eggplant are good if you enjoy fried foods. It was okay, but I felt like the eggplant and cauliflower disappeared into the breading. One of my friends said that this was the best daal they’ve ever had and I would have to agree!

Really good place and have quite good food. However, their hospitality was on another level. We went pretty late and were celebrating one of our friend’s birthday. The staff and their manager went above and beyond to make sure the birthday celebration went smoothly. They brought us some speakers to play birthday music, some special desserts and a lot of other things. We could have gone to many places in the city but surely none would have enabled us to enjoy our celebrations as much as we did here. I highly recommend Leela restaurant.

We randomly found this place and I must tell you its a GEM. So we ordered Butter chicken, Harabhara kabob, aloo chat, masala tea and Kashmiri pink chai. I must tell you guys the flavours of the all the things were amazingly delicious. I would highly recommend it.

No matter how many times we say we will try different restaurants on Gerrard street, we always end up at Leelas. I have been here multiple times and the food does not disappoint. Not a fan of cauliflower but I could eat their Gobi 65 all day long. I also recommend their mango lassi and chaats! Their gulab jamuns melt in your mouth - would never hesitate to go back to this restaurant

Leela is fun. The space has a cute and relaxed vibe. The service is super friendly. I am totally in love with their chai selection. I think the snacks are so great and hard to decide which to have. Mains like butter chicken is delicious. I was a little sad as it promised to be with a charcoal smoke and it was missing. Lamb biryani was off the charts and eggplant fries are super fun made more delicious with Raita to dip, just a suggestion!Naan was honestly perfect and because I never leave without dessert gulab jamin was on point.
