Sylvan Learning of North East Calgary

It has been a few months now since I registered my daughter. She is currently working on reading, comprehension and spelling. I have seen a big improvement, she has more confidence now when reading out loud. When Sylvan was closed for a few months due to Covid they had her do Zoom meetings everyday from home to make sure she didn't fall behind. She was excited to return when Sylvan opened their doors again, she is always so excited to earn tokens after her hard work. I was very comfortable having her return as Kyle and his team are making sure to follow the guidelines. I am happy to have found Sylvan.

The team at Sylvan learning in the NE go out of their way to welcome new students and get them on the path to pick up where they missed or were not given enough time to learn in class. All of the tutors have been exceptional and the individual customized learning plans are unique to Sylvan. Being updated with progress reports helps build confidence.

The staff was very welcoming to both my child and myself. After the evaluation testing of my daughter's Math skills, they were able to explain where her skills needed assistance. Furthermore they were more then happy to walk me through how Sylvan knew they would be able to help her build up her confidence in Mathematics.Before going to Sylvan my daughter had felt less then comfortable when it came her math work in class or homework wise. Since being assisted by Sylvan her attitude towards math has changed significantly.The progress that Sylvan has been able to help my daughter achieve by building on fundamental skills has made a huge difference to her. She has told me how she has a much much better understanding of how to apply different strategies; and that she is feeling more comfortable and confident when dealing with Math problems in class and when having to explain how she arrived at the answer she did.After many of her classes my daughter would tell me she enjoyed the Sylvan teachers trying different learning styles and how patient they were when she had a hard time understanding something and how they would try another way of explaining if the first way wasn't working.Thank you Sylvan NE for all the help!

I was worried about my grandson who was struggling as the school system was impacted by the pandemic and I called Sylvan for information. I couldn't believe how sympathetic and reassuring the various people that I spoke with could be. They not only gave me the information to pass on to my daughter, but they listened to my concerns on a personal level and were able to assure me that Sylvan was a safe and nurturing place for my grandson to try and catch up. He has bloomed under the care of the staff at the North East location and has discovered a new confidence in himself. Thank you, Sylvan!

Sylvan is a great environment with great staff who are dedicated to teaching. I really enjoyed the whole processes we are new to this program and hope to stay here in the future. My kids were super excited on there first day and we can't wait to continue with the classes to learn and grow academically.

Sylvan is worth every nickle. It is costly, but the results are astounding! Our son has benefited immensely from all the support and help provided by the amazing Teachers at Sylvan. Sylvan truly cares about our son and helping him in all aspects of his learning. They work in conjunction with the school and parents to understand and then close any learning gap that might exist for your child. Our son LOVES going to Sylvan and has thrived there. He especially enjoys the token rewards!! Thank you for being there Sylvan, especially Angela, you've helped us and Josh make this learning journey a very rewarding one.

I highly recommend Sylvan North East. My daughter was really struggling with math, and they completed a comprehensive assessment to show me exactly where she was at, and we made a plan for success. Things are going even better than anticipated, and while that’s a reflection of the hard work that she has put in, it certainly helps that Sylvan North East is filled the most passionate, and dedicated group of educators you could ever come across. Like many kids during the pandemic, my son fell behind in school. Sylvan’s personalized assessments and learning plan, combined with regular sessions with their proficient and caring teachers, have helped him achieve and surpass his grade level in reading and increased his confidence to read more at home. Our son has been in lessons for a couple months now and so far so good, he really enjoys going to Sylvan and gets along with all of the staff. We are excited to see his progress when he starts grade 3 in September. Kyle and his team have been great to work with and the support and communication is exactly what we were looking for!
