Sasamat Lake
This is easily one of the most beautiful locations so close to Vancouver. I chose to take my girlfriend here on a whim and had never been before. The paths are well kept, it's quiet and calm, there are lots of garbages and bathrooms, and the distance around the lake is the perfect amount for a nice afternoon nature walk. From it's smooth sandy beaches, clear crisp water, and tall beautiful trees... I highly recommend visiting this gem.

It’s a very nice spot but extremely busy during summer season. Better enjoyed in autumn or spring during business hours. It has washroom facilities and is connected to Belcarra Regional Park. There’s a trail around the lake with many spots but White Pine beach is where people normally stay. There are some picnic tables, it’s a great sport for paddle boarding and the water is super clean. The bottom in any area other than the beach is very muddy.

First sunny day after the chilling winters made this loop trail soul satisfying. Anywhere your eyes revole, the vistas make the heart sing. It's a small hike with not much elevation but surely a must go. Apart from the mesmerizing views, it also has picnic spots where you can have lunch with your friends and family or plan a BBQ clubed with games for kids.

Beautiful flat water for paddle boarding, kayaking or swimming. Go early on the weekends or risk not finding parking or even denied access especially in the summer months.

It's a great hike around the lake. Try to go early in the morning to get the best view. The trail is easy and would not take more than 60 mins. It has a big picnic area too. A must go place in the summer. Good for Kayaking.

Peaceful and beautiful. Small but large enough, with a surprise bridge in the middle of the lake. Beautiful views and nice manageable trail. There are a few geese and their cheeks who call this place home. It’s fun to watch them!

Slowly walked the 3.2km trail during 2h around the lake, stopping often to admire the sun piercing through the beautiful autumn foliage.
