BELFOR Property Restoration

Unorganized and unprofessional. After a house flood I used Belfor for my pack out and storage of my belongings. When creating the lists or restorable non-restorable content Belfor missed documenting over 100 items I owed. I talked to them they went and re-took photographs and were then missing 50 different items that originally were there. Met in person, after two hours I still did not have the necessary information. Manager took no accountability and raised his voice at me. I wound up moving my stuff to another facility, after a month I was still waiting on a list I was told would be completed within 72 hours

We’ve used Belfor for almost two years now. They do amazing work and in a timely fashion. We have used Nikita for all of our projects! She’s amazing, professional and very accommodating. Couldn’t ask for a better PM to work with. She’s the one you want helping you through these unforeseen events.

We have had a great experience with Belfor. We used their services for water damage and mold removal, which turned into a much bigger project than initially expected. After some frustrating delays from a different company, Belfor responded very quickly. Our project manager, Nikita Cooze, was very friendly, professional, very responsive, and was great at explaining things to us. The project coordinator, Tara Wills, was also a great support, very communicative, professional and friendly. We also have nothing but great things to say about our contractor, Pat McGee, who has done excellent quality work. Pat is tidy, courteous and highly skilled. Overall, great experience!

Was not able to put a Negative number as far as rating, I would have! The worst company to do ANY business with . Horrible workmanship. If they would work as hard as the many breaks they take, maybe they could accomplished something. DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR ANY PERSON THAT WANTS QUALITY WORK PERFORMED!!!! They finish nothing!!! I followed up with Sandee at Belfor. WOW… VERY unprofessional Adult! When companies receive BAD reviews they want to make the general public think they have no account with you or your spouse. Sandee did nothing but LIE her way out. Karma will strike hard!!! once again, I’m saving you as the consumer headaches if you use this company.

Rarely do I take the time to write a Google review, but the team I dealt with at BELFOR deserves special mention for jobs well done. Nikita Cooze, a project manager at BELFOR, coordinated the repair and restoration of my condominium after two major floods and two leaks. She is professional, dedicated, and responsive to feedback. Nikita takes time to explain what she and her team are doing and why. With any special requests, she goes above and beyond to fulfill them. If ever I pointed out anything about my job that needed additional work, Nikita happily addressed it. My father, who has worked with many construction crews, expressed to me that Nikita is unusually excellent. I would happily recommend Nikita and her team at BELFOR to anyone who needs their property repaired and restored.

Please DO NOT hire this business.We contacted Belfor to assist with removing damaged material following a flood at a property we own near Lethbridge, Alberta. The workers did not show up when they said they would, would only work a few hours and then leave the site and took over 3 weeks to complete a 3 or 4 day job. The workers left behind personal garbage on site, gave shocking advice on asbestos mitigation ('just play dumb and put it in a bag'). We wasted a lot of time waiting for them to show up to the site.To add to this, Belfor then outrageously overcharged us. Their estimate of # of hours on site was nearly TRIPLE what it should have been. We can understand adding extra time for travel/dump runs/preparation/etc. but there were more than $2500 in over-charges. We argued about the bill for some time and then finally they charged the credit card number they had for us without confirming first. If you have hired them CHECK YOUR BILL.Overhead staff would return my calls but not act on my requests for weeks on end. Eventually we finished the job on our own as they left the site a complete mess (see attached photo). We are going to report them to the Better Business Bureau-- lots of mis-management here.Please hire someone else!!!

If I could have given anything below I would have. It has been a complete nightmare dealing with this company. Our flooding happened on June 25th , almost 2 months later I still don’t have an estimate from them. I have been following up constantly but they don’t return calls , emails etc. The lack of professionalism and lack of competency is mind boggling. Please do yourself a favor and run. Do not go with these guys.

A very poor experience working with BELFOR. TD insurance recommended them for our home water damage claim which was a huge mistake. Crews arrived late or did not arrive at all, when they did arrive they often did not know what they were there to do. This left us to liaise between the various tradespeople and crews who seemed to operate in complete isolation of each other. When we called our project manager for assistance or a project timeline he never picked up and would only call back once we called his supervisor. Our project manager told us on multiple occasions that the repair would be fixed on a certain date only for that date to go by with nothing happening and no communication. This happened for weeks while we waited, called, emailed, and texted for no avail. Ultimately, a terrible experience of poor communication, broken promises, and incompetent management.

We had significant water damage in a bedroom below a bathtub which had a faulty drain. The water damage caused significant water soaking of the ceiling, room walls, bed mattress and caused damage to our solid wood bed. What a mess! We were very concerned with the extend of the water damage and if the bedroom and including the ceiling could be restored to its original condition. Beflor Property Restoration immediately came and removed all the water damaged areas and told us to get rid of the water soaked mattress and they immediately installed a number of powerful drying fans for a few days to prevent any mold from starting. They were able to completely restore the entire room to its originally condition which we were very happy with. But most of all we were thoroughly impressed with the entire Belfor team including the management and all the different groups of people that came to work in our house. I have worked with many service companies but have never seen such an excellent service company in action. For every step of the restoration project, they was always excellent communication through phone calls and texts with the management and the workers so we were informed at every step of the restoration project. Every Belfor worker was extremely careful in protecting our floors and walls while they were carrying in a lot of equipment and removing all the damaged garbage. They were always trying to do the best job. Every worker represented Belfor with the highest level of professionalism. I did not have the opportunity to spend a lot of time with the original workers but I did spend some time with a gentlemen named Eric. He was truly a very highly skilled professional Belfor employee who made sure that his work was completed with the highest level of quality and care. It was a pleasure to talk to him and see him work at his trade. In conclusion, it is obvious from our restoration project that Belfor's management has developed an excellent complete team which is totally committed to provide the client with the best possible service with superb final results. I strongly would recommend hiring Belfor for any restoration project.

This company should never be used. They charged for a service that was not needed and charged 300% higher than industry rate.YES 300%. Numerous emails over a period of over a year to discuss to both workers and upper management and not one call back to discuss. Service for repairs took way longer than normal as well. This company is awful! Do not use them.
