Hotel & Spa Mont Gabriel

Went up to Mont Gabriel for a food/wine tasting. Most of the food was excellent, and the service was exceptional. The room was very clean and tidy and the view was great. The breakfast buffet was awesome as well. Happy we've decided to have our wedding here in October.

I was here for a wedding this past weekend and was absolutely blown away by the beauty of the grounds and the the main building. You can definitely tell the age of the building in both good and bad ways. A lot of the stone patios and stairs need laid again but it truly is still an amazing hotel and resort!My biggest complaint is that on the Friday we got there it took an hour for some of our food to make it to our table, at which point it was cold.

The scenery was spectacular this time of year. The fact that they are short staffed, perhaps they shouldn't take so many events at once. It is better to take fewer events and do them perfectly, than take too many and just do them passable (in my opinion).

We checked in and checked out. Don’t let the pictures fool you. The place smells like mould. I have stayed in so many hotels and have never experienced such an odour. There was a random bag with dirty sheets outside our door, there were webs in the hall with dusty carpets. Worst experience.

We spent one night on the weekend at this hotel. Nice place to stay to have a break from the city. Well situated next to skiing slopes. The whole experience was good. We stayed in at one of the log cabin type of rooms. It is just that the hallway have a distinct smell and the floor is creeky. Parking was not an issue. Indoor swimming pool was closed that day. Breakfast room was grand. Buffet style breakfast was great. Great staff at the dinning room. We may come back, but we will try in the summer time.

The hotel itself was fine , rooms were a bit small if you get 2 beds , but was clean and comfortable . The view was nice , the staff was accommodating and the kids loved the pool , if you are looking for a super fancy hotel this may not be the place . The outdoor pool was very nice and they also have an indoor pool with a hot tub , all in all you wouldn't regret staying here

Not worth the price paid. We are a family of 4 used to travel and have gone to numerous hotels. This is absolutely not worth the price. I have had better welcome and facilities in Motels were I paid 3 times less.Poor welcoming from staff for checking in, close to rudeness actually, no explanation or description on where are the facilities, pool, spa, breakfast room or else.We get to the room: tiny room, not even a bottle of water at disposition. 2 cups when it is 4 of us, 3 glasses. The fridge in the room is making tremendous noise. Thinking of going home without actually spending the wholenight…. And the swimming pool will not make me give any more stars as the water is freezing. It is extremely rare that I give bad reviews as I know how hard it is to run hotels and else but sorry guys this is just not worth the price…..

It was my first time there this week. I had heard good things about this place and was excited to be staying at a 4* hotel. I had a suite. The king sized bed was broken. Several of the planks on the base had snapped off and the mattress sagged as a result. The drapes half torn off the hooks and the carpets in the room were stained and downtrodden. The concierge at the front desk was dry and unhelpful. You can tell that the pandemic has been very hard on this place and it’s pretty much just kept on life support for weddings. I had a much nicer experience at the Fairmount Montebello. Hopefully this review gets them to do better.

Pretty place with a very unwelcoming staff , only two of them were niceWent to the restaurant of the motel where we ordered food he was speaking fast couldn’t even look at us in a nice way , offered to pay when i was goin to pay he showed me the tip price and i didn’t have any waited for my partner to come bring the tip and i told him so , he looked at me in a very mean way and threw the one dollar on the corner of the kitchen!!!!Than asked for a drink with no alcohol but still the ginger ail was very bitter and had a weird taste like alcohol we went to sit he was like this is not a table for two its for a four persons even though the motel was half empty !!! He put the food and i was feeling super uncomfortable ! Wouldn’t recommend, didn’t like the food eitherIt was written that it had a spa and resort it had only two pools and one half hot bath tubWent to the massage area to ask the men there came and talked to us from the door and didn’t propose any massage offersThe coffee machine in the room didn’t even workThere isn’t even free water in the motelThe only thing i liked Was how pretty the motel looked likeBut am sorry they have a terrible customer service !

I came for a wedding with my elderly mother in law. We stayed 2 nights. Just about a zero for handicap. I asked the front desk for an anti slip mat for the bathtub, which they told me they do not carry them. The patio doors in our room did not lock, something wrong with the latch. The refrigerator in our room has an ice box in it and in the morning we noticed all the ice we had in there melted and ended up on the carpet in front of the fridge.During this stay we had an unfortunate act of God, a severe thunderstorm creating a complete black out. The hotel does not have a generator. Absolute darkness. Not even any emergency lights to light the exits or the hallways. The staff apparently were not even capable of contacting any management. Totally unacceptable for a hotel in a highly recognizable area.All this at a $600.00 cost. On checkout I requested to speak to the manager and requested a discount. Unfortunately again I was unsuccessful. I was however told the manager would contact me. We are now several days later and still no manager.
