Kitties & Cream

One of my favourite places in the city to hangout at. My partner and I frequently go on dates here to play with the cats. It’s fun, friendly, and affordable. I 100% recommend this place if you’re looking for something new and exciting to do.We have never had a problem with the staff, the location is adorable as it’s in the heart of Old City Quarter and just a few blocks up from Muffeo Sutton park. The shop IS expensive but I don’t resent them for this as most of the items brought in are made by other small businesses and artists. :)

My rating is customer service based, unfortunately my experience to say the least, wasn’t great.I have been looking for my fur babe and upon searching had gone into Kitties & Cream. I had asked the ladies working about the kittens/cats they currently had and they had suggested I visit again the following Monday due to the fact that they would have more rescues available and so I did.Upon my second visit there was another lady working, not one of the ladies I had spoken to previously. I had explained my previous interaction with the previous girls and that they had suggested I come back on that day. She had looked confused as to what I was trying to explain and asked for my name, she then asked if I had an appointment. I did not, as I was not aware that I would require one. More than willing to comply I had asked if there was any appointments available that day, she seemed annoyed throughout the entire interaction. Finally, I had booked my appointment but was then asked how I would like to pay. Again, willing to comply but completely unaware. Something I feel as though should have been mentioned during my first visit and while this didn’t bother me, it seemed to annoy the lady during my second visit. An uncomfortable visit all around.Needless to say, I left not wanting to return should the cat I applied for during my visit had already found his/her perfect home.I am not one to leave reviews, let alone poor reviews. I do however feel it is important in this circumstance that there should be consideration towards how your customers feel upon their visit.

This was the most amazing experience! Kind staff, adorable and cuddly cats, and an amazing merch store with some incredibly cute items. Very easy to park and cute decor as well. 11/10!(We were in a hurry and didn't try any food. )

Such a great experience with the cats and the staff members are very kind there. The cats are very energetic and healthy. I have been to many cat cafes in the lower mainland and this was by far the best one I have visited yet. It is clean and the space is aesthetically pleasing for photos and videos. The cats wanted to play for the whole hour I was there and they love meowing and talking with you. They sit on you and like to be close for cuddles. The cats look very happy there and it is probably because of it's great management. I will definitely be coming by here again next time I am on the island. The price is right and cheaper compared to other cat cafe's in the lower mainland as well.

What a cute place! Nice and quiet, very clean ( which is saying something for 5 or 6 cats walking around ☺️) Cats are super friendly, and there are places to sit and read or attempt to work while felines walk across your laptop. Admission is $12/person and you get an hour in the kitty room.

Very disappointed in the quality of cleanliness in the cat lounge. It looked like it hadn't been properly cleaned in weeks and the smell was over powering. All of the cat fixtures had a heavy coat of fur on them. As well, there were two cats in there that had health issues one looking like an infection with their eyes and other with what looked like an nasal infection which was very concerning. It's not healthy for cats to be living in an unclean environment either and probably doesn't help with their health issues. I could only stay in the cat room for 20 minutes at most due to the smell and couldn't even imagine trying to stay in there for the whole hour. I spoke to staff about my concerns who seemed more offended than concerned about the cleanliness and health of the cats. I think cat cafes are a great idea and help with the adoption of cats but it's not okay to run a facility that is severely dirty for both the health of people and especially the cats.

This was my first experience with a cat lounge and it was awesome! They had so many kitties to pet. It did smell like cat litter when we first walked in, however it’s understandable with how many cats live there. There was a pretty significant cat fight between two cats however the staff member did really well to calm the cats down and separate them. Overall I enjoyed my time, they had a lot of toys and fun things to engage with the cats.Most of the cats were adoptable which was very neat. And they had a very great selection of cat merchandise. Would recommend!

I go absolutely gaga for cats so this is one of my most favourite places to visit on regular basis. Staff are lovely & helpful & kitty’s are adorable as ever! You can pay to hang out with cats & as a cat person I deeply appreciate they got this little sanctuary for cats only. Highly recommended

What a great place ! My family made a reservation to spend some time with the kitties, and the kitties seemed to very much enjoy the attention ! It was also great to see things in action, like the cat wheel and the wall-mounted cat walk - gives you a sense of whether it might be something suitable for one's own home.This is a great way to meet cats that are available for adoption, and also great for cats to be exposed to people regularly. Would absolutely recommend to anyone who loves cats !

I do not like to leave negative reviews, but in this case I feel like others should be notified. We recently lost a pet due to a fast acting illness. It was of course heartbreaking and unexpected. When we were ready we went ahead with the adoption of Margo, which is not a regret, she has been an amazing addition to our family. Upon our arrival to pick her up we were notified that she had been provided antibiotics because she had been sneezing. Margo had an upper respiratory infection. We kept Margo in a separate room for a quarantine period, but our other cat then got sick as well. After the loss of a pet we have had so much anxiety dealing with this situation, it's difficult to see an animal sick. Marley went to the vet today for antibiotics. She's coughing, sneezing, drooling, hiding and just overall not feeling well.Margo should have been kept away from the other cats when symptoms appeared and we should have been notified before we arrived to take her home.Marley has been given antibiotics, blood work and subcutaneous fluids to be given at home. Upper respiratory infections may be common, but every cat is different.No doubt in my mind that those who rescue animals have a caring heart, but the seriousness of this needs to be addressed.
