Day & Ross Freight

We have been sitting at home for three days waiting for this delivery of a very expensive purchase. Each morning we are told it is on the truck. Each afternoon we check again and are told it is still on the truck. It never arrives. For a professional shipping company, I have no idea how they cannot track the shipment nor have the ability to contact the driver directly. Trying to cancel order now, but this is only punishing the seller... not the shipping company. All I can do is write this review to warn other parties to avoid this shipping company.

They are very understaffed at the moment. I felt sorry for the one fellow that was there assisting me. He had far too many hats to wear but was not overly stressed. I was actually impressed but know that this can't continue.

Very disappointed, very bad delivery. Don't recommend to anyone in my life.

Day & Ross take the Gold Medal in most poorly operated shipping company I have experienced. A shipment on May 11th 2022 from Montreal to Brockville gets sent to Mississauga ??? Then from Mississauga to Ottawa ??? Then I am told it will arrive from Ottawa to me on May 19th in the afternoon. So I make arrangements to receive and..... Day & Ross never shows up, never calls, never emails!!! McCain's (the owners) should stick to growing potatoes!

Ordered a parcel that day Ross was to deliver a week ago its been sitting in one of their warehouses for a week with no movement since its first day of order. Parcel is now way past its expected delivery date.

worst freight company I have dealt with hands down, didn't think they could get any worse but they seem to lower standards each interaction. 0/10

I was told I would get a call to set up an appointment for home delivery where I would be able to request for help to move the item into the house. I needed this because it was a large item for my parents and they weren't able to handle it themselves.I waited the whole day and no phonecall came. I called in and they said again I would get a call from the appointments team. Finally I get a call at 6pm saying the driver was on the way. I asked why I didn't get to set up an appointment and they simply replied well my driver's on the way". Now my parents are stuck with a 300lb+ box that they have to figure out how to move.Do you guys even know how your company works?"

I ordered a tv online and it was shipped with this company day and ross or whatever its called I had a woman that called me and told me false information and because I stood up for my self and said that the info was wrong she personally had my shipment bumped a week costing me money a third day off work and poor customer service by this employee she works in Belleville ont all I have to say is never use this company they lie and steal your package and won't give it to you NEVER use this company EVER

The company I work for sent a shipment through Day and Ross, they picked it up on time. Then returned it to our shop because of a minor issue that took less than a minute to fix. We fixed it and the driver refused to take it back. I loaded it into my truck and delivered it back to their shop so that the delivery could still be done on time. This shipment was supposed to go out on a Friday and be delivered Monday by noon as they agreed to it. Once it was returned to our shop they told us they wouldn't be able to come back to pick it up until Monday, this is why I brought it to them in my personal vehicle. When we did this we were assured the delivery would still be completed on time. Then on Wednesday after 2pm they called us to say they were trying to deliver it and there was nobody on site. This was the first notice we had that the delivery was going to be late. Needless to say, we will not be shipping anything through Day and Ross again.
