My wife and I worked directly with McKay when we were buying our first house and he was great to deal. Him and his team were always available to take our calls and answer our (many) questions, day or night. It was exceptionally impressive given the time zone difference of PST to EST.Not only was the service great but we also received a great rate from the Financial Institution, savings us more than $100/month on interest payments.All in all, a great experience with McKay

My wife and I were a little out of our element when it came time to buying our first house and given my nature to find the best deal and rates possible, we had contacted four different lenders and mortgage brokers in the hopes of finding the right fit. McKay and his team were always available to take our calls and answer our questions whenever they came up.It bacame obvious to us following the direct conversation had with McKay that we had found the right broker for us.Not only was the service great but we also received a best rate available at a time where rates were going up.All in all, a great experience with McKay and would recommend anyone to have a discussion with them to decide for themselves as I don't think you'll be dissapointed.

It was awesome working with McKay. He explained everything very well, and in French at time which saved me as English is my second language. Very friendly, very efficient, very professional and fun to work with. I would recommend McKay to anyone looking for a mortgage.

I had the best experience with Kayla and Melanie who were phenomenal in helping me secure a great mortgage from a prime lender. Kayla was always so quick to respond.The best part of this experience was Kayla helping me understand what was best for my finances. Always ready to do the calculations to see if the numbers work, and I just closed my first home successfully. You guys are my go-to brokers for life and will refer as many people as I can. Melanie was great with keeping me on top of the required documents.I can’t thank you guys enough. This was a 7 star experience. If only I could give you more stars. I’ll see you guys again soon!!!

Dealing with Kayla MacRae and McKay Wood has been an extremely rewarding experience. Kayla’s enthusiasm and dogged determination for finding the right ”fit” for us was a long and arduous road. She persevered by researching and reaching out to colleagues until she found a solution to our multi-business investment venture. Phone calls and follows ups were constant, always keeping in touch so we knew exactly what was going on. Her pleasant personality, knowledge and encouragement is something I highly recommend.. give them a call - you’ll be glad you did!!

I was able to get two mortgages with McKay. The first time, he was able to get us approved in less than 3 days while my wife and I were looking for our first place to buy. We were on a budget and I didn't have a lot of work history. Yet, McKay worked frantically on our file and was able to deliver successfully in the end. Fast forward 7 years later, I contacted McKay again to let him know that we were looking for an investment place this time. Although my wife and I had much better wage compared to the first time, we had no down payment whatsoever and again not a lot of work history in my case due to a recent career change. McKay once again worked his magic through and through and was able to get us approved for a mortgage big enough for us to buy an almost brand new 1 bedroom apartment in a centrally located fast growing neighbourhood. Working with McKay also means you get a chance to get connected with the best people you can find in realty and in the legal sphere. These two additional components are crucial in the home acquisition process and I'm very grateful to McKay for his ability to recommend the best people to work with. But what I appreciate the most in the end is the fact that McKay is a happy person with a very inquisitive mind. He loves his job, he is trustworthy and he genuinely cares about you, not as a customer but as a person. His success lies in his great personality and his most friendly demeanour. He's passionate about what he does and he is very personable. He is the embodiment of what most people are looking for and when they find him, they stay with him. Thank you McKay!!!

I don't usually write reviews, but we had a good experience with McKay and his team. It was our first house, we had a somewhat unusual situation, he handled it well and got us a fantastic rate. No reservations about recommending him and his team.

I would give more stars if possible... Kayla and her team from McKay Wood were amazing. When it looked like all was lost, Kayla pulled out the big guns and got things to happen. If I can get a mortgage between jobs (so I can move into my new house before I start my new job in a new town - 4000km from where I am now) then they can help just about anyone. I'll be back to get finance for my property portfolio (one day - not tomorrow but definitely one day). I could not recommend McKay Wood enough.
