Modern Handi Indian Cuisine
One of the best restaurant in Vancouver, they have an awesome staff waitress were so helpful & provided food at such a quick pace & were interactive as well. Presentation is ❤️ as well.Stayed for 7 days visited many restaurants but this one is top notch ,if you want Indian Cuisine then don't miss it for sure.

Visiting Modern Handi Indian Cuisine recalled my positive memories from my time in India. The food is absolutely delicious and the host give you the most warm welcome. If you’re looking for a place to feel warm - not only from the outside but also from the inside - this is the place to visit.

Modern Handi Indian Cuisine
We were craving desi food after several days of traveling and not having any Indian food available to us. We took a 25 minute uber ride just to get here. The food was absolutely delicious, Raman was a pleasure to be served by, super friendly. We ordered the Lamb kebobs, Shahi paneer, and lamb rangosh curry with butter/garlic Naan. We enjoyed the food very much and would definitely return for more.

Nice place if you are looking for north Indian food. The taste has been modified to cut down the spice level. The portions are not the best I have seen but are fairly good. This is the closest Indian food place you can find in the downtown area. There is NO parking available on this busy road. You will need to park either roadside on the street or need to look for the closest parking location around here.

Modern Handi is a must-visit if you’re out and about downtown Vancouver and looking for a place that serve irresistibly scrumptious Indian food. With fair prices, a bar license, great atmosphere and attentive staff to add to the dining experience, Modern Handi is a real gem.We ordered the lamb rogan josh with zefra rice, the chicken biryani and some papadams. As the soon as the dishes were placed on our table, we were met with a wall of mouthwatering aromas and lovely spices. Every single dish had the right level of heat and every bite was savoury, from start to finish.Modern Handi has firmly set itself as one of my favourite places to eat while in Vancouver!

This place was amazing, we ordered the aloo gobi, palak paneer & and dal taka. The service was great she took her time checking with the kitchen when we were looking for vegan dishes. Lots of vegan options! Best Indian food I’ve had in many years. Well done!

Tasty food but the nan was very very hard. The portion is very small. We paid 28 dollars (with tips) for chicken Karai and one nan and one roti. Atmosphere is nice.

Modern Handi Indian Cuisine
During my recent visit to an Indian restaurant in Vancouver, we were warned by friends about the poor quality of food. Despite the warning, we decided to try the place and ordered only samosas and paneer takatak for starters to be on the safe side. However, even the samosas were just average in taste and the filling lacked any real flavor. The paneer takatak was a complete disappointment - just plain paneer topped with fried paneer and some vegetables, served with tomato ketchup as the gravy. I have never had such a terrible paneer dish before. The only saving grace was the mango lassi, which tasted good and was made with vanilla ice cream and mango pulp. However, the overall experience was very disappointing, especially considering the high prices charged by the restaurant. I would not recommend this place if you are looking for a satisfying dining experience.
