Not in the greatest area, but the food was good. No funky tastes. The sashimi was fresh and flavorful. If I had to pick something that was a little disappointing, it would be the hahd rolls. They could use less rice. After the first bite, it was all rice after that. That wouldn't stop me from going back. The waitresses had pleasant attitudes.Gomae was nice to see on the menu!

Friendly staff to start off with, greeted vary shortly after coming in and seated right away. Clean tables and seats, beverages came pretty fast. I love there all you can eat lunch or dinner. Been coming here for years, my boyfriend and I always sit beside each other and watch an episode of the of the current show were on while we eat and they never mind. Food is delicious always. Respective pricing too I never mind leaving a tip in this place, especially with there staff all being so nice and never getting our order wrong.

Avoid 'All-you-can-eat'. Midori's quality and portions depend on how much they think you will eat. YES, THEY PROFILE TO SOME EXTENT.The sushi chefs PLAY GAMES and are all about profitability. They always 'FORGET' what you order in hopes that you fill up on less costlier stuff. It happens all the time its absolutely ridiculous. If you must eat 'all-you-can eat' make sure you make a photo of your order slip as proof and politely remind them what hasn't arrived. We will never go here again. Its a shame because this place use to be good about 5 years ago.

Good variety. Some of the sushi was good, although in my salmon and tuna maki rolls, the fish did not taste very fresh, and the tempura was very soggy. Kitchen staff kept staring at my family and I to an uncomfortable level.

Absolutely warm and friendly welcome! Amazing lunch selection menu! Food came out quickly and was delicious and fresh. Price was reasonable for Al you can eat. They even have Sushimi on their menu. I appreciate the delicious food and friendly service! Looking forward to coming back and soon!

Don’t bother with this place. It seems that ownership has switched hands in the last two years or so. This, and Sagano (used to be beside KFC and One Stop Love Shop on S.Fraser before closing shop) were really good AYCE sushi restaurants back in the day, but that is no longer the case…I’ve never seen a restaurant skimp so hard before. First of all, they limit the dinner AYCE menu to only 2 slips/orders, which would be justifiable had it included premium/high end sushi rolls and more variety of BBQ items, but their dinner menu is very bare bones. As other users had mentioned in their reviews, what would normally be an order of a single piece of sashimi, gets butchered into like 8 tiny chunks and counted as such which is ridiculous considering they also limit the amount of sashimi you can order (at an AYCE).The portions for the other items are just as bad… A bowl of udon literally consists of 2 strings of 5 cm noodles in an over-salted “broth” which can be finished in a single bite. The chicken and beef teriyaki had no flavor. I kid you not, even the TV's hanging in the corner seem to be smaller than what used to hang in those spots. Rather than an AYCE feast, this felt like a taste-test of an inconsiderably small amount of overall subpar items. I get that they are trying hard to limit food waste, but this is unironically the opposite of less is more"; instead of serving nice respectable portions

Keep an eye on what you order. They send extra portions of the cheap deep fried stuff, they cut what you order because the owner decides how hungry you are. Many items on our lists did not even arrive because they feel they filled us up with the cheap stuff that contains way to much rice. This used to be a great place to go and now I am sad to have to tell people not to waste their money. It is just under 30 bucks for dinner all you can eat. And even though your spending that per person they cheap out on everything and if you order 10 muscles they will send 5. Is you order sashimi they will decide well they didn't eat all the deep fried stuff they didn't actually order so we won't send them any of that. We did not see an single item with tuna in it yet we ordered many items with tuna. Just a pity. The owner has lost his love for the food and the people who pay his extravagant cost to eat there. I will never go back to Midoris again. And for crying out loud clean your bathrooms.

Cheap all you can eat. I haven't been here since I was really young. The owners must of changed. The Nigeri is very rice heavy ...but the fried items are crispy and satisfying (chicken, skewers and tempura).

This used to be my go to all you can eat place.. tonight was my first time post Covid and what a dramatic decline. Service was horrendous, with no line up we waited a good 5 min before being greeted, we came in with an infant in a stroller and were sat in a small booth forcing the stroller to block the walkway , we had to suggest that we move tables... Then come the order's.. we fill out our slips and it took 10 min for them to be picked up and a drink order taken... Then only half our order comes out, they leave all the empty plates in the way, and after 25 min ask if we want round 2..we still don't have half our first round.. then they make us refill out the forms for what is missing... Finally our sashimi comes after over an hour... And it is the tiniest little pieces(see attached picture) ... What a joke..and then even after the first mix up, they forget items from the redone order, and gave us the wrong quantities of items.... If you are going to ignore the order sheets why use them? Then we order 3 ice creams to finish everything off and they forgot it until my 10 year old went up to the kitchen to ask about it.....Again I used to love this place..now I will be hard pressed to ever set foot in here again.

The food is very good. The tipping percentage is set too high at a minimum of 17%. I don't see a point for them doing this. For me, it's tip gouging. I will be happy to give you that much if service is good and also good food. I know there's an option to give them a certain amount, but who wants to fiddle around and think how much? Anyway, I gave the server the 17%. I usually give 20%, but this strategy ticked me off.
