Dr Colin Struthers

Hubby was referred to him as a priority 1. He found diverticulitis didn't tell him how it should be treated, diet or what to do if it flares up, he's still in pain. 2. He slso suspects gall bladder and was to refer him for an ultrasound 2 weeks later we still have heard nothing on this. My husband has been left to linger in pain unable to eat much with no energy. His receptionist does not answer calls you are forced to leave a msg. He should have explained what diverticulitis was and what it entailed he did not just said it was common. It was our NP who explained it. She also can't refer him for an ultrasound as it's in his hands. Our NP is the only one who explained anything about diverticulitis diet, that's its lifelong and not to ignore the pain as it could behave very serious consequences. Not thrilled with him, and as a retired nurse I find his lack of explanation to a patient potentially dangerous.

Worst doctor ever

Dr. Struthers is an amazing doctor. He is very helpful, knows his stuff, and is very persistent that you take your medications all the time and makes sure you are at every appointment. He is a great Doc, keep up the good work.

My mom was given hope she would be perfectly fine and get a new liver, didn't tell her what to expect or what to do, just go home and wait a few months to next appointment.Than he went on holidays for a month, she got so bad we had to call her an ambulance where she was taken to ICU, Dr Shruthers was called many times by the doctors there and not once did he see my mom for the three weeks she was there. We were told she was too far gone and nothing could be done. She died in August.
