Bon Vivant Catering went above and beyond to help us plan our wedding this August. Selecting the menu and rental items was a breeze and they provided amazing professional assistance in planning our day. They were also able to coordinate and follow all provincial health and safety protocols. The food was amazing and they made our day so special and effortless. Thank you Nessa and Dino!

The menu selection is top notch, and representatives worked with me to create the event that met the needs of the group. Chef Joel Green was a pro in the kitchen and proved to be the icing on the cake in making our dinner party a success. I would highly recommend Bon Vivant for any of your catering needs.

Chef Dino Renaerts and managing partner - and wife - Nessa van Bergen have long been integral to BC's hospitality industry and are known for creating extraordinary, large special occasion events. But I was thrilled to learn recently that they also do small drop off lunches and dinners! Two weeks ago, Dino created a spectacular drop off dinner for 5 people to celebrate my daughter-in-law's birthday! His use of spices creates many layered tastes in everything we ate - from individual spoon served hors d'oeuvre portions of albacore tuna tataki and cold beets with chèvre pistou - to a remarkable Waldorf Salad with fresh grapes and - for the main - a cedar planked salmon with delicious minted peas and potatoes. For dessert we had the MOST unique lemon pavlovas any of us had ever seen that were served in individual glasses topped with meringue cookies!!! This meal was a WOW!! I am thrilled to now know a caterer who can create special drop off meals!! I don't want to rave too much, however, for fear that Dino and Nessa will become too busy to continue to cater drop off meals in addition to their larger and more complex events:)!! It should also be mentioned that Chef Dino is not only knowledgeable about a wide range of cuisines, it is a pleasure to work with him!

Chef Dino came up with an exquisite menu for my birthday party. Everyone loved the menu selection and commented on how tasteful the food was. I highly recommend Bon Vivant to anyone wanting to organize a private event. Totally worth it!

We hired Bon Vivant Catering to cater a birthday dinner for 4 at our home. We couldn't have been happier with the service and food. The meal was delectable -- equal to or better than what you would get at a fine dining restaurant. They were careful to avoid all our allergens and create a delicious menu nonetheless. The porcini mushroom arancini were to die for! Dino was a very attentive chef; everything was perfectly prepared, fresh, and gorgeously plated. I would give them my highest recommendation, and would definitely hire them again.

We reached out to Bon Vivant based on the recommendation of one of our staff members and couldn't be happier with the experience. It was for a small corporate lunch for six, at a barn. We didn't give them a lot of time - it all came together in less than a week. Chef Dino arrived on site early and got all set up. As I'm not super great with details like decor and flowers and hadn't requested it on the order sheet, he managed to get a lovely bouquet from flowers growing nearby which complimented our table nicely. The food was divine - heirloom tomato and burrata which nectarine and a balsamic dressing; diver caught pan seared scallops on risotto and for dessert, blackberry and pear crostini with Chantilly cream. We were under cover so yesterday's rain didn't both us and in fact added a little interesting ambience to the meal. Our guests were thrilled and I wouldn't hesitate to use Bon Vivant again.

We are thrilled about how our party turned out and thankful for your role in that. As usual, the food was amazing, and more than that, Dino’s adage about pretending this is not our home so that we can enjoy without any inkling of responsibility is the true takeaway. Bon Vivant Catering created the most beautiful event for us. Working with them was absolutely seamless. 10 short emails, 3 short telephone calls, 2 text messages and a site visit. They intuitively figured out exactly what we wanted and made a magical day for us. They organized everything from the kitchen, to the tents, the dining table for 50 guests, to the toilets, and of course the amazing food. Nessa and Dino are hands on, and they make it happen. There was zero stress for us. They are brilliant.

I recently worked with Bon Vivant's team for their catering service to organize a corporate reception. Despite the fact that we were working with limited time to coordinate things, we were able to pull everything together thanks to Nessa (Managing Partner, Lead Event Planner, and Sommelier) and her team. She was incredibly responsive, courteous, and efficient. Set-up and service were excellent, and the reception was a success. I would gladly welcome an opportunity to work with them again.
