Booked a room around 8pm for the same evening from Toronto as we were dealing with 10+ hours of delayed flights thanks to Air Canada... we were not going to feel very good about making our drive back to the states after 20+ hours on planes and in airports. I had no idea what time we would be arriving in Winnipeg. Exhausted, we finally made it to the hotel around 3am. When we arrived there were 2 people at the desk, I told them that I had a reservation for that evening under my name and without looking at anything the male behind the counter simply responded with no you dont". Said he "ran the audits" for the night and they can not check anyone in anymore. He was however able to find my reservation confirmation but apparently I was too late and they shut off their computers so they couldn't help me. Admittedly I was seeing white and may have reacted poorly

We have some issues in our room, but Yash from the front desk makes every effort to accommodate our needs and make us feel special. Shout out to Yash for doing such an amazing job of keeping the customers feel special.

The hotel is in a good place, central to a lot of things. Prices seem reasonable. The rooms are old and outdated, a little dirty(nothing to complain about about). The rooms are crazy humid even with the act running. Overall it seems like the staff is doing their best to keep a hotel going that the owners aren't willing to spend money on.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. The front desk was pleasantly helpful. There are two pubs/bars on site for your typical pub grub. You can also opt for a breakfast buffet or food off the menu at the Aaltos restaurant. The hotel also offers many conference rooms for small to large gatherings, workout facilities, outdoor patios, and a popular swimming pool.

Went to a conference. The area where meetings are held is good. The rooms were pathetic! Dirty and smelly. Staff recommended they would get housekeeping to go freshen up" the room. I declined as I knew it meant spraying freshener. Claimed they were full. No other rooms available. I had to stay! Exterior doors didn't close properly. A liability issue in case of emergency. Pathetic state of entrance

What a DUMP!!!I was so disappointed. The rooms are old and run down. The hallway wreaked of pee. This did not feel like an upscale hotel but rather a rooming house. The hallways were so noisy and sleep was hard to come by. Everything felt old and dirty. The pool was not well maintained and there were dirty towels, beverage cups and dirty bandaids littering the floor in the pool area. The chlorine smell was so strong that our eyes burned even though we did not swim and we were supervising children.I can’t wait to check out tomorrow. Such a gross feeling here.Recommend staying elsewhere.

We joined friends for a spring break overnight excursion at the Polopark Canad Inn location. The waterslide was huge and quite fun. The kids enjoyed themselves. However, the safety lights were not working to let people know if they could go. The pool was cold and very over chlorinated - I didn't go underwater, and my eyes hurt within minutes. There were no staff around. The rooms were clean. Ok, experience. Kids were happy.

Not the place to stay if you want to rest and relax. Good restaurant but they allow children to scream and run through the halls. Walls are thin so you hear everything. Housekeeping woke me up when I had flown in on a very late flight. Finally started resting then the vaccuum banged against my door. Front desk doesn't even offer ear plugs. Come for the food, but don't expect to get any relaxation.

Update:After submitting my initial review, I was contacted by management and offered a free night and dinner for my family. They gave me one of their best rooms and had clearly prepped the staff who went out of their way to provide great service. Some of the maintenance issues were being addressed. The pool filtering system is still severely lacking. If I were to base me review on the free night it would be 4 stars for the upgraded room, 2 stars for the facilities, (except pool cleanliness would get 1 star) 4.5 stars for the service, and 2 stars for the food at the buffet dinner. Overall 3 stars for the free night.Original reviewRecommended? Absolutely NOT!The good - the staff were all friendly during my stay. And the room was mostly clean on arrival. The rest- they don’t respect the Do not disturb” sign and overall the hotel has “bandaide maintenance” at best. Here’s a small portion of the many issues…- Rather noisy hotel. I don’t think the other patrons were louder than normal. But there’s no soundproofing between the room and the hallway.- Needed new keys to my room 4 times in a day plus it didn’t work for the pool 5 times in two days- Bathroom door knob loose- Closet knob loose- Leaking bathtub tap- Toilet not bolted down properly so it rocks.- Ceiling tile in part of the hotel in desperate need of replacement- Wall paper peeling in places- Wood panels on wall falling apart in places- Various rusted areas painted over rather than being fixed. (Mostly in the pool)- One elevator broke down once. The other one twice- 4 of 5 pieces of equipment in the gym needed repairs- Parking lot had tons of snow build up from not being cleared properly for a long time. And the sidewalk was even worse. Sidewalk was cleared on my third day but that appeared to be the first time in weeks or months.- And the list goes on.Interestingly, while the hotel isn’t maintained. The conference center appears to be better. Is the possibly where the main revenue comes from? The two biggest issues for me.1. One of my two keys worked initially. Got the bad one fixed and then both stopped working within minutes. Both were replaced and worked for a couple hours before needing to be reprogrammed. The next day they replaced our lock as part of a hotel-wide lock exchange. This was done while I was out. They ignored the “Do not disturb” sign on the door and threw it in the floor together with bunch of sawdust, wood chunks and other garbage. Didn’t clean up their mess till I complained. Also, they had been working on other doors in the previous days but didn’t bother to schedule locks to be done on rooms that were unoccupied. Had to get my key card replaced yet again. Besides the hassle of being locked out of my room yet again, ignoring the do not disturb sign is in my books an invasion of privacy.2. Pool got a bunch of extra chemicals and had to be drained and refilled, then they had other issues during refilling and ultimately shut it down for my first afternoon and evening. The pool and water slide were the reason I had booked this hotel rather than a different hotel. When the pool was open, there were endless pieces of fuzz and hair floating in the water. Even first thing in the morning. The filtering system wasn’t working and they didn’t manually clean the water surface overnight. To say I’m extremely disappointed with this hotel would be a significant understatement.I have stayed in many hotels over many years and there’s one other time I’ve complained to management. It take a LOT to bring me that far, but I finally did it here. The response was “I’m sorry”. Well I’m sorry too. But sometimes that’s just not enough. The only thing that would soften my view of this place is a refund. So far, nothing received. I’ll update this review if one is. But at best, I expect the standard response claiming that they take feedback seriously and are addressing the concerns. Let a see if I get a better response.Hopefully me sharing my experience will save someone else from having the same experience.

Best banquet service in the city I’ve been to several conferences in many hotels but Canad inns polo park has the best banquet service from the minute you walk in to the hotel you can feel how welcoming the staff are. The conference was great, the service was awesome and especially Ahmed the banquet manager was kind, friendly and VERY VERY helpful. With Ahmed and Canad inns polo park you will have the best customer service ever.
