CIBC Branch with ATM

I've been dealing with CIBC for over 50 years. It is no longer easy to get a simple answer to a simple question. You play around on their phone system and whenever it gets to the point where someone should answer it goes to a recorded message. Go into the branch and pretty much all they can do is schedule an appointment.

We went today to this branch, got to deal with teller Name Qahir to activate our mastercard (2nd visit), which he couldn't do because of their phone system. My husband have some language barrier like he don't speak english perfectly but can answer someone's questions. The guy name 'QAHIR' said our system is not a problem, you guys are problem(while pointing finger towards us) because of language barrier. CIBC u need to improve your customer service i will give this guy -10/10 (Negative 10). Zero star. He did such a rude conversation with us.

well, if i have to rate this branch i will rate 100 out of 10 always willing to solve every issue happened or amazing experience. Im thankful that i had opened my account in this branch .Specially thanks to Keren

This review is for CIBC in general. -10 stars!!!! Have been a new client since March 2022 and in May I ended up falling for an online scam. I reported it within the first 15 minutes of the transaction and for whatever stupid reason, they wanted to take 10 days to investigate the matter. Other banks would have disputed the transfer and returned the funds. Then after the 10 day investigation, they told me they will not be reimbursing me, even though I provided all eligible evidence that it was a scam. They did not provide any helpful information for me to go after the scammer. They said they would mail me a letter indicating the outcome of this. Still haven't received it. All though why waste paper on top of my time. It clearly states on CIBC under the fraud section they guarantee to get the funds back if all evidence is provided. So worst bank ever, no guarantee so they need to remove that guarantee. Yet they are able to pass out $300 as a promo to new customers, which I also will not get because I am closing this account. WHAT A JOKE!!!!!!!!!!

Very happy how CIBC has taken care of us over the years. We work with Fangzhu as our advisor and she is awesome. Prior to her was Parm whio was excellent too. We left out other bank and brought it all to CIBC.

Working with the tellers are great but I feel that there are never enough tellers. Unfortunally Poor customer service when it comes to the appointment services. Systems are down. Say they will call u. They don't call. Mixed up the name. Passed your stuff to someone else who was suppose to call. Call them to ask for the person but their busy so leave message to ask to be called back. Still no call. Very frustrating service

I had a very unpleasant encounter with one of the male representatives today. I came in for a simple cash deposit after I sold my handbags and was continuously questioned as if I was committing a crime and was asked multiple times where I received my cash from. I will not be banking with CIBC due to this incident. Please learn to do your job without making your customers feel uncomfortable.

They forced me to invest in mutual funds so I did but then the market crashed so I lost some money.

We went to open a bank account for the 1st time in Canada and have a very good experience with CIBC. Special thanks for Amanpreet Kaur she is very helpful and explained everything.
