Paws in the Cove Pet Grooming

They are very nice and do a good job on the cut if that’s all you’re wanting for $75 plus tip. I took my cat here and they didn’t trim his pads, clean him or his ears, or brush him. It’s just the cost of a basic cut with nails trimmed. For the price I’ll be going somewhere where they clean his behind and make him smell and feel good. He usually comes home from the groomer smelling, looking and feeling amazing. This place gave him just a cut and nothing else. He didn’t seem to feel as proud and didn’t smell or look clean. When I mentioned that he wasn’t cleaned or anything they said they would put a note on my file for next time. I’ll spend my $85 elsewhere. Like I said though-very nice ladies and they took good care of him and treated him with kindness.

Tabitha was kind enough to let me shadow her as an assistant for one night. I observed. She's very kind, knowledgeable and does a great job with the dogs! Highly recommend.

Love this place when I’m here in Hubbards Filming. Staff and owner are friendly and the pics they take on their Instagram is always adorable. We bring out Husky/Lab and Chihuahua regularly. So big or small - they’re consistent.

Lexie has been well looked after at this great groomers. She was scared at her previous groomer but not here and always looks fantastic.

I think I treat my dogs better than most people treat their kids: they eat the best dog food available on the market, they are walked 8km per day, I brush their teeth every day, I brush their fur regularly, I clip their nails, I got them a house with a huge yard to run.I treat my dogs better than I treat myself.When I picked my dog up from the groomer, I was given what we call in French “la morale” (essentially: lectured condescendingly) that my dog needs to get groomed more.I made this appointment March 13, the day I got back from Montreal, and May 2nd was the first available appointment. When I told her this, she said “according to her file she was last groomed in September”, to which I replied her previous grooming had been in Montreal. She then started to, again, tell me that her being matted isn’t pleasant for her.She just kept trying and trying to make me feel ashamed and embarrassed to bring her there to get groomed more often (when I had been trying since March…)I’m very well aware, and I do my best while brushing her. She’s a very hairy double coated dog. I’ve had her for 11 years and sometimes she really just needs a good professional grooming.I think that it was very unfair to imply and condescendingly act towards me like I’m a bad dog mom. I am doing my best, and I tried to make this appointment almost two months ago. For a small business, I would think that kindness and compassion would be a priority.

Cocoa's first time at Paws in the Cove. The girls said she did great. We will definitely bring her to Paws in the Cove from now on. She smelled lovely and was so soft. Have already recommended this business to someone else. Love it.
