Block Kitchen and Bar Victoria
Not your average Victoria restaurant. The food alone is the reason to go. The wine selection is broad and priced well. I didn’t realize the original Block is in Banff.One of the chef’s came out and presented the dish. It was an artisan experience. Plates exquisitely and tasted even better.10 out of 10, would recommend. Come for the food, stay for the desserts.

Beautiful meal! Both in taste and presentation. Our server was friendly and helpful - even though we asked a lot of questions. Such a different vibe, all made in-house and original. Really impressed at every level.

Kitchen Block is a hidden gem that offers an exceptional dining experience. We ordered several dishes to share.Our server, Justin, was friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout the meal, providing excellent recommendations and ensuring that our dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish.We ordered a few dishes from the regular menu that were great based on Justin's recommendations, including the Korean fried chicken, which was crispy and flavorful, and the Asian lettuce wraps with pulled duck and a side of peanut sauce, Kimchi, and Korean ketchup, which was a perfect blend of sweet and savoury flavours.From the daily feature menu, we ordered several dishes. We started with the Pork Belly Okonomiyaki with Katsuobushi

This place is the perfect balance of atmosphere, drinks, hospitality, and a delicious, approachable menu.The cocktails are made by an inspired bar team and they use the latest mixology techniques to bring the flavor and creativity from the glass to your mouth. They have some cocktails on tap along with an awesome selection of local beers and a variety of wine.For their food, I recommend a little bit of everything! It's a great selection of casual Asian fusion and some more high end items, like fresh local oysters. It's perfect for either a dinner with some friends, or a spot to stop for some late night tapas and a cocktail.Hospitality is the backbone of this establishment as their team has a ton of experience. It shows with how they handle the room. I'm looking forward to watching this space grow and am already excited to bring a group of my friends in to try some more cocktails!

This was absolutely delicious! My wife and I grabbed some drinks, a couple appetizers, and split an entree. It was more than enough food. We ordered the duck spring rolls because we hadn’t seen that anywhere before and they were amazing.

My friends and I had a great time at Kitchen and bar. We ordered Takoyaki, Mushroom Risotto, and Ahi Tuna and for dessert, Matcha cheescake and chocolate mouse. Every dish tasted as good as it looked. The highlight for me personally was the Cheesecake which was super light and tasty on its own.Last but not least, our server, Jessie elevated our experience with her warm, friendly manner.I would recommend this place as long as you are open to sacrifice the quantity of food over quality. The portions weren't enough for me but I left happy!

We stumbled in and everything was amazing. Believe Rebecca was our server the first day and we had to go back again the next day. Justin was our server the second night and he was also amazing. Would highly recommend Block for their food and drinks.

Block Kitchen and Bar Victoria
We walked in on a busy night but still managed to get seats right away at the bar. And are we ever happy we did. Staff were all great to interact with, their bartenders are characters in all the best ways. Amazing cocktails! And the food was delicious, we tried a number of items on the menu, and can’t wait to try more. Great view of the kitchen from the bar, awesome watching the kitchen run. Highly recommend this place - excellent music and ambiance.Shout out to Chef Tyler - his food is a cool fusion, and great addition to the Victoria food scene. Must try are the Spicy Salmon Tartare and the Double Happiness cocktail. Oh and the Japabao Dog!

Great place to share a meal. Love the creativity and attention to detail. Food and cocktails were all delicious (albeit pricey, but you can tell where the money went). Staff were lovely as well.

If I could rate more then 5 stars I would. This was a an amazing experience of the most odd delicious flavours I've ever tasted.Some how the evil genius Ryan can mix coffee and cheese and it tastes amazing.Thrilled to have found this absolute gem in Victoria
