like many people in ottawa, direct bore was responsible for installing the cables on behalf of bell. They did a poor job covering the wires afterwards and left some exposed. I have a toddler running around who can easily trip on these wires. I spoke to some door knob through email who told me that even though Direct Bore dug up all the wires, and installed the bell ones, they wouldn't bury some of them since they belonged to rogers.

Unfortunately Bell did not choose wisely when hiring this subcontractor for installing 5G fibe.They have ripped up our lawn to install a line barely under the turf, leaving areas of line exposed to trip over.Upon digging at the end of our driveway they managed to cut my Bell line, not once, but in four places. A remarkable achievement, leaving my household without services for over 24 hours.They have yet to complete their preparation services in 24 hours.Not an impressive record.

Bell's choice to use this company" is truly disappointing. I am amongst others have severe defects on our driveways during Direct Bores installation of Fibe.Perhaps the most sickening behaviour is the "side hustle" by the employees who later return and offer asphalt sealing at your cost to make cosmetic repairs to damaged driveways.I now have a sizeable pothole in my driveway

Direct bore has desecrated my property! After calling them several times their response was pitiful! Bell should be ashamed to have this company do work for them ! I have been a Bell customer for 25 years and this pitiful show of workmanship has caused me not to ever Get Bell service again ! My neighbors are of the same opinion! Greely Ottawa!

Worst company ever! Don't let these guys to dig a hole in front of your home. They destroy your lawn and cut your existing cables. Their customer service is not helpful and takes no responsibility for their horrible job!

Are working for Bell on my street and today cut my cable even after my husband pointed out where the cable was. Somebody might come fix it today. Rogers has no appointments until Friday - 4 days of no phone, cable or internet. When you screw up you should fix it immediately. This is unacceptable.

Most horrible company, they cut a Rogers cable not one but twice in the neighborhood and their site manager (Simon) gave a weak apology saying it was Rogers who didn't identify the drops, Rogers wasn't advised but the site manager, we called Rogers and they were very concerned at the complete disregard for their lines. Had we not done this we would have been without service the entire day.

I rarely post reviews, but must agree with the previous reviewer. I too am in the Greely Ottawa area. Direct Bore, on behalf of Bell Canada, destroyed the entire length of our front yard in a failed attempt to horizontal bore Bell Fibe in the neighbourhood. When rock was encountered, out came the backhoes which eliminated the previously well-maintained green grass and top soil, exposing sand and rock. The company was quick to say all would be fixed, and agreed based on the scale of the area that sod would be required to properly remediate. They later said that sod was no longer planned. Their first remediation response was terrible; small pockets of top soil were sprinkled over subsoil/rock that had not been properly compacted, resulting in complete washout each time it rained, carrying away what little seed had been placed. The entire area remained uneven and rocky. When I insisted it be improved by flattening and spreading much more topsoil (as the thin layer continued to be washed away by rain), more soil was spread but not nearly enough to counteract the slope and rain. With continued runoff and weed growth, the area began to look like a war zone, so I insisted Direct Bore honour their initial claim and install sod which would prevent the runoff problem, and return the area to how it originally looked - all I ever asked. I contacted Bell Canada and filed a complaint; their response was predictably bureaucratic and required many follow-ups on my part, but they finally did connect with their subcontractor. Direct Bore finally agreed to install sod, only to days later renege and spread more soil and seed, indicating it was too large an area for sod. An area they created.Direct Bore created a problem, indicated they would fix it, but changed the terms. Bell Canada is uninterested. All I asked is that the lawn be returned to its original state; it will now require a few seasons of personal attention to do so - no thanks to Direct Bore. I have no issue with the on-site workers, and other subcontractors hired to deliver soil, seed etc. What I do have an issue with is management's ability to own up to a problem they created and fix it. This is why I've rated one star.

The came made a mess and didn’t clean it up? Now have to chase after them to cleat it which will most likely be futile.

Direct Bore is installing Bell Fibe in our neighbourhood and has destroyed the front of our lawn. As well, they cut our irrigation system in two places and cut our Rogers Cable. Despite repeated promises over several months to fix the damage, there are still trenches and rocks all over the front of the lawn, and the irrigation system is still not repaired. Besides being an eyesore, this is an unsafe situation.
