Blomidon Estate Winery

Entering the vineyard and winery itself, it's a beautiful blend of Nova Scotian charm (the view is stunning) and a modern, freshly designed tasting room. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and made us feel right at home for a tasting. We tried a few of their selection and we were so impressed. I don't typically like white and we left with a Tidal Bay white that was delicious! Our hearts however, were stolen by the Baco Noir... a smooth red, full of flavour, not too sweet. Just perfect! We've been searching for a new red after our favourite was discontinued at the NSLC a few years back. I'm glad to say that my new house red" is not only BETTER than my old fave... it's local too! I just served the Baco Noir with a Turkey dinner and it was sensational and an instant hit. Now I don't have to wait for an excuse to travel out that way because it will be THE reason to go down! This winery is a bit further from Wolfville past Canning... but soooooooo worth the visit. Enjoy their beautiful wines that are rivaled by the incredible view from their patio. The staff are always so knowledgeable and well versed in their wines. A summer in Nova Scotia isn't complete for me without at least one trip here!

This winery produced award winning wines. We tried a sampling of a number of their wine varieties. We were also given a tour of their wine production facility! Their personnel were very helpful in explaining the vineyards operations. We also purchased some of their wines and took them back to Dartmouth for tonight’s salmon supper!

Some really great wines here - my favorites were the reserves. It's a beautiful estate, even when we couldn't see much due to a heavy storm. Service was more than decent. Would recommend this place.

This is one of my favourite Nova Scotian Vineyards. They produce some excellent vintages and the staff are always cheerful and helpful, making you feel they really appreciate you visiting.

Very friendly staff and knowledgeable staff. Great atmosphere—very relaxing. The tastings were light and refreshing! Its nice because bus tours do not stop in, which I loved. It was a great pace with one on one attention from the associates. Very serene experience. #illBeBack

Lovely view. Nice staff.Wine flights expensive and stingy compared to other local wineries.Not worth the extra drive… in future will stick to Port Williams and Wolfville area.
