Running Room

Very poor customer service. Went in looking for shoes. Clerk was on google maps eating an apple. No greeting. No acknowledgement that I had entered the store.

Have not had great experiences at the Nanaimo location lately, unhelpful and unknowledgeable staff etc. I'll stick to the other running store in town.

I recently stopped in to find a new pair of shoes for work. Faith helped me tremendously. She was kind, knowledgeable, and patient as I tried on several pairs of shoes. She made great recommendations and allowed me to take my time going back and forth between multiple pairs. Thanks for a great experience!

Extremely knowledgeable and helpful staff (lead by Hannah) a medium-sized selection but all the best stuff with very well-curated offerings. Hannah even helped diagnose my form and recommended some specialty products. Great experience!

My husband and I recently visited the Nanaimo Running Room for the first time. We were very impressed with the manager Matthew. He went out of his way to make us feel welcome. He helped us both find the perfect shoes for our specific needs. Would not hesitate to recommend our family, friends and Matthew to anyone in the area

I bought a hydration pack here earlier in the year, and was disturbed to find that both water bottles leaked to the point where it compromised their usability. I eventually took them back to the store, and the fellow there did a quick check of the seals and then replaced the defective bottles without charging me a thing. Neither of the new ones leak. It's a relief not to be replacing a pricy item three months after purchase!

I am extremely satisfied with the customer service I received at this Running Room location.Hannah, the manager, seemed very knowledgeable, listened to my description of my old running shoes and my requirements, and got me four different pairs to try out. There were no hard-sale tactics or inattention. Hannah offered me different options and brands and was happy to order me the correct size, should it not be in stock.Speaking of which, I have also visited Frontrunners and SportChek this very same day, and, not only did Running Room have the hands-down best selection and variety of running shoes, but it also had the exact shoe brand (Hoka) that I've been looking for.Back to my earlier point, Hannah has a cheerful and friendly demeanour and has answered all my questions about shoes, insoles, posture, pain, and core strengthening exercises with a great amount of knowledge and patience.For the reasons above, I highly recommend this store to runners of all stripes.

Great service, nice small shop, me and a friend bought a new pair of matching Brooks runners for our coaching jobs and they are super comfortable. They had an amazing sale when we went and we only spent 100$ on our shoes. Would highly recommend. The sales representative Kate is by far one of the nicest people I have ever dealt with in a store.

I’ve been a runner for 30 years and RR been my go to for 3 decades across the country in my moves and travels..Moved to island .. delighted there’s one here but shocked at how dirty the store was, understocked but mostly by the horrible service. Wasn’t greeted by either of staff members chatting to each other and I was only person in store. No one asked if I wanted help or even looked at me. Guess Frontrunners is my local running store now!
