Resto Tandem
What a lovely experience it was at Resto Tandem. I heard nothing but great reviews about this restaurant that's a less than 10 min walk from the Fairmont Charlevoix. To my surprise, the food and experience exceeded my and my entire family's expectations!First thing's first, the food was amazing. We had the Fried Calamari for the appetizer (perfect crispness) and my wife and I ordered the Lamb Tajine and Pork Osso Bucco, while the kids ordered the Lasagna and lobster mac'n cheese. Best food we had in a long long time. The kids kept saying this was the best food they have ever eaten! Kudos to the chef.Secondly, the service at Resto Tandem was second to none. Stefan (apologies for any misspelling) is the man and he made our meal extra special with impeccable service. He was fantastic with our kids (they couldn't stop talking about him the day after too) and was just an overall delight with his knowledge of the food, drink / food recommendations, and his humor. Food is important but to me, service though is even more important.Finally, we all loved the decor of the restaurant. It just has that French charm. The music was to our liking too.Overall, nothing but postives to say about Resto Tandem. Note that we dined at Le Saint-Laurent the next evening and Resto Tandem beats it hands down in all fronts. Therefore, if you are within the area, definitely make a reservation and enjoy Resto Tandem, a true jewel of a restaurant.

Most fabulous eating experience. Benoit is a gastronomical genius & Stephan is a comic genius & brilliant serveur. The food is mood elevating! All wines offered by glass, bottle or...much appreciated..half liter.

Nearly every place in town was completely shut down, but when I called, the maître d’ promised to stay open for me.After a long drive, it was exactly what I needed. The staff are sweet and kind, bringing out special surprises that you didn’t even order. Although the portions are on the smaller side, the quality is through the roof.Try their lobster mac & cheese. You will not be disappointed.

Excellent end to a 4day stop in the region.Exquisite service (we felt very welcome. A very positive atmosphere). And, of course...fantastic food.We tried the lamb Tajin, lobster roll, seafood bisque( can’t remember the name) and the lobster Mac and cheese. Smiles all around the table.Desserts were outstanding. Thank you!!

This restaurant is a true gem! We had an amazing dining experience. The food, drinks, decor and wonderful music playlist made this such a memorable evening. The owners are lovely and passionate, they have created such a cozy and unique place.We had coconut shrimp, snails, french onion soup and the beef cheek… DELICIOUS! Rose cocktail was a favourite.Looking forward to the next visit, thank you for a great evening.

What a wonderful experience. We had an amazing evening and would recommend this restaurant to everyone. It was some of the best food we have ever had- would highly suggest the seafood chowder and the lobster mac. The snails and ceviche were the ideal way to start the meal along with a chilled bottle of white! Thank you for the wonderful evening.

Delicious and innovative cuisine in a charming and quirky decor with attentive and lively service by the owners/operators Benoit and Stephane! An absolute must if you are in the Malbaie region but be sure to reserve early because space is limited. The best dining 'experience' I've had in a long time!!
