My favourite place for a great workout. Staff are friendly and accommodating. I always leave with a smile on my face.

I did their two week starter package. Unfortunately, I won't return. Here's why: the spin classes are designed around the demographic of the instructors, which means you really need to be under 35yrs and nimble. The classes are more about exercising on a bike than pure spin. As such you need to be able to move from a standing position most of the time in a bouncy, frenetic style which most people over 40 or of heavier build cannot do easily. The music is incredibly loud. Both sessions left me with ringing in my ears for about an hour after (they do provide those cheap orange in-ear buds but 5minutes of sweat makes them fall out). The problem with the loud music means you cannot hear the instructor 90% of the time. Most of it is done in twilight or actual darkness so it is hard to see the moves you are meant to do. There is no emphasis on turning up or down resistence, just bouncing in and out of the saddle at a blurring speed.Another issue is that far too many cycles are crammed in a small space. They have hand weights for a mid-session upper body workout but you often find you bump arms and hands and elbows with the person next to you. It becomes a series of micromoves which are of little benefit. The staff are friendly, informed, enthusiastic. The washing facilities are modern but also extremely cramped. The overall space is far too small.So....it is a niche spin environment for energetic under 35s focused on using a bike for a workout rather than spinning to improve cycling style and fitness. Which is fine. That is their business model.Note that I did go back in and explain this to them, asking if they did varied classes so I could pick one better suited to what I need out of spin and they politely told me all classes are fundamentally the same. Clearly some class variety would reach a wider demographic.Good luck

I tried my first spin class here, and can’t say enough positive things about the experience!Super friendly staff, great facilities, and every class I’ve tried has had really great energy, kickass playlists, and wonderful instructors.Had a blast on my New Rider Intro, and bought a class package before the two weeks were up!If you’ve never tried a spin class and want to give it a try, I highly recommend signing up for the Intro and getting a few rides in!

A year ago I walked in Wheelhouse Cycle Centretown and my life will never be the same! 80+ rides later, I have more confidence and lower cholesterol. Best instructors in the city, thank you Wheelhouse for being amazing community!Just an quick pandemic update: I'm at almostt 200 rides and the new Wharehouse location is fantastic! I feel very safe being back in the studio with all the safety measures the team has lut in place.

Instructors are really good but the facilities are not up to par.Classes are back to back which leads to congestion getting in/out of class. Bikes are older and often come loose during class and many don't have the proper clips for both styles of spinning shoes. Some bikes are being repaired with duct tape, some have different seats and other bikes squeak for the entire class. At the warehouse location there are no towels provided, the water cooler is slow and only one tap, shared change room with next door facilities.. huge parking issues too.Bank St- the speakers are so loud it is piecing, very poor fan/ventilation in the class studio and again- major congestion in between classes.... why not give a 30 min buffer??Instructors are great though and I leave soaked each time. Hopefully with time (and money) Wheelhouse can improve their studios so riders continually come back and not seek other spin studios.

Your first couple of times can be very uncomfortable because its loud and such an unfamiliar surrounding, but then once you get through that, the loud music hypes you up and you feel right at home! Been coming here for over a year and a half and i love it. Phil is the best instructor hands down - fav playlist and a doable class for all levels! But theyre all amazing, erin gee's workouts are insane!!

I did the 2 week trial at this place. At first I was kind of confused as I’ve never done spinning but I loved how friendly and helpful they are. At the reception Angela was pretty much always there , and everytime I entered she remembered me !! It was a nice feeling to feel welcome like that, felt very personalized and that they cared about their customers. The place is very small but I always tried to get early so it wouldn’t be too crowded. Most of the spinning it’s done in the dark at first it was very overwhelming but after 5-6 classes you get the rythm and start to understand how it works. It was very hard for me the part of the cleaning as some times during the class when we started doing the stretches saw some people leave without cleaning their bike (gross) I always make sure when I arrived to clean mine but sometimes the smell of sweat was very intense so very hard for me to seat , and actually enjoy the class. There’s not garantee that your bike is a 100% clean so that grossed me out a bid . For the rest I loved it, it was a good workout and everyone was super friendly.

The class was amazing - such a great workout. I go to spin class every day, so being challenged like that was the best! The music was loud, and the energy infectious. However, the room is so small, and with a full class, I found it hard to breathe. I think it would have been okay if the AC was turned up a little. The mirrors were steamed up, and the instructor had to actually open the door halfway through to get some air.

Love the concept but I believe is a bit expensive. Is different from the normal spinning classes and they're so enthusiastic and happy, everyone enjoys been there somehow. The classes are fun and way too exhausting. But anyways I think is a bit expensive.

Having a great experience here so far. Took getting used to being the only male at times but now it's time to SWEAT.
