My husband and I went to look at baby stuff. We are first time parents to be and know nothing about anything. We were met by the lovely and so helpful Elizabeth in the baby section. She helped us with strollers, a registry, bottles, and so much more. She was so kind and made this experience wonderful for us . Thanks Elizabeth

I tried to return a $130 lego set that I had paid for with my apple watch. The manager said she would only give me store credit, saying that it's a ToysRUs policy. She could only make refunds if I used a physical credit card. I told her that was ridiculous. My receipt says right on it that a full refund will be given with the original receipt. I told her to show me where the policy is written. She searched online and found something about PayPal purchases being refunded to store credit. I said, but that's PayPal, not an apple watch. She said it's the same thing.I went to the ToysRUs on 32nd and they happily took my return, I tapped my watch and the money went right back on my account.I'm very confused at what's going on at the Macleod location. It's obviously not a ToysRUs policy to not refund to apple watch. Did the manager really not know this, or anyone else who was working that night? Is the store saying this so that people will have to use their store credit so that sales stay in ToysRUs?The manager was very rude and abrasive, with no positive customer service skills. Will not be going to this location again.

I have read below reviews by some unhappy customers and though I don't want to negate them, I will like to share my own experience. We often visit this shop to buy toys for my 18 months old or shop for the gifting. I have found the staff friendly and cooperating. There had been instances where I asked a staff for something and they actually guided me in person to the exact location. I also had to experience post purchase customer service and had no complaints. The staff at counters is mostly young boys and girls and sometimes may do mistakes but they are good at customer support overall.

Worst experience ever!!!! Went to return 2 things to worth $200 plus just to get to hear from that I can’t get the money back cause the employees of your own store threw the Mastercards away! I feel insulted and cheated as they tried to keep my hard earned money by just giving me credit from their store!!!! Definitely never coming here again! Toys r us has been a favourite for myself and my kids and now this is the worst store to go as they make you feel humiliated!!!! Not helping your customers or people in general. I would agree to your policy of it was my fault, but having to just bend down to your so called rules even when it’s the fault of your employees and not mine! I wish I could give this place no stars!!!! Worst experience ever!!!!

My daughter was was super exicted to get her new elsa barbie doll but when we recived it the package was damaged/opened and it had gum with hair stuck to its leg! We will never be shopping with you EVER AGAIN, you just lost a great customer.

This review directly reflects the experience I had with the manager Beverly, also known as Bev, who I had the displeasure of interacting with today.2 days ago I purchased two bikes which needed to be assembled and picked up later. I was helped by a front desk associate who was extremely friendly and engaging. Caucasian lady with glasses, who’s name I don’t recall. She instructed me that during pick up to go to the desk with a sign that says “in store / curb side pick up”, which of course makes sense.Today I went to that desk and stood for a few minutes. Bev came out of the office nonchalant and inattentive of the desk with me standing there. I explain I’m here to pick up bikes, to which she replies “you’re at the wrong desk, people are suppose to go to customer service”No problem. I walk back around the cue area and arrive at the customer service desk.There’s a supervisor and a trainee standing there and I explain I’m here to pick up bikes.The male says, “you have to go over there” (pointing to the “in store / curb side pick up desk)A bit frustrated at this point, I say “that lady (Bev) told me to come here, and now you want me to go back?)”Bev pops in and says “No, you’re suppose to pick up here at customer service. He (referring to the male) is a trainee”.I respond “no problem, but the associate 2 days ago also instructed me to go to ‘in store / curb side pick up’ desk. Did this policy change yesterday?Bev says no.To which I reply “ok, well I’m trying to explain what is causing confusion for customers because clearly, some of your associates (not just trainees) are unaware of this change and maybe you’d like to know, so you can train them too?”Bev starts to walk away.The trainee says “sorry for all this”Loud enough for Bev to hear, I respond with “thank you for the apology. It’s a shame that a trainee has to apologize on behalf of the manager”At which point, Bev condescending yells “HAVE A GOOD DAY SIR” and continues to walk away.Like i said, the staff here are always great. But it’s unfortunate the manager of this location doesn’t embody the same people skills or care for service.Of course, everyone has ‘bad days’ and perhaps Bev was just having a bad day?Hoping for the store to take ownership and would like someone (either Bev or another Manager) to call me and provide some insights here. You have my phone number from the pick up tag.Wouldn’t want one poor interaction to tarnish the reputation of an otherwise very good location.Will happily revise this post if I hear back.

My pickup of an online order was so amateurish. I cannot believe how they took what was easy and made hard. First I went to pickup door. No answer or anything. I then went after 8 minutes to inside store. Yikes. A maze to get through to pickup desk. Nope after waiting 5 minutes in line , not busy though, went to desk. I was told nope go through to Babies R us. Not a baby toy. I went inside again through to desk at Babies R Us. A guy handed me my gift. This part was easy.

Went shopping for birthday gifts for my 6 year old twin grandchildren, who were very excited to see the fully stocked shelves, even after Christmas. Lots of welcome sale prices! Very helpful staff on the floor showed us where to find what we were looking for, and James at the checkout obligingly rang up 2 separate bills so that I could take advantage of 2 coupons I'd been given here in December. The icing on the cake was when I later realised I'd lost my wallet in the store or the parking lot. A quick phone call to Stacey was all it took to get the hunt underway: Karen found it in the parking lot as she was tidying carts on her way into work and took it into the store; Stacey saw my AMA card in my wallet, asked AMA to phone my number to verify that I was the rightful owner of the wallet, and then all I had to do was pick it up. A very enjoyable shopping experience with a happy ending. I am SO IMPRESSED by the staff in this store! Thank you, James, Karen, and Stacey.
