Will never go back to this store ever again. I haven’t been in 7 years so I decided to go back and give them another chance so I brought a whole box of clothes I only wore one time or not at all and they were all purchased within 2 years. I was told they were old and stained when I can assure you I washed them and inspected them all myself. A few of my items still had tags on them. The young lady didn’t seem to know what she was talking about and didn’t even know where my box was when I was looking right at it, when I told her where it was she was still looking around like she was lost. I Will never be bringing clothes here again absolute waste of my time trying to bring clothes here. I dropped the clothes off to a donation bin right after I left.

First time I brought in clothes to sell they told me 15 minutes , after 2 re- visits they told me it wasn't ready, It took an hour to process 2 dozen jeans. Second time it will be done in 30-40 minutes .It took an hour I didn't wait, went shopping and had lunch. Please just tell us the truth It will take an hour , Honesty is better.

Always went to Plato’s to give clothes away, as per my friends. We won’t be back again. Very very picky. Wouldn’t take most of my clothes because they were “out” of style. Brought very good, hardly worn and brand name pieces and they were turned away. Meanwhile, there’s plenty of clothes that are out hanging which have gone out of style too. Not sure if consignment is your thing anymore. Cheers.

Love the things I find here, the store is nice and tidy, and well stocked. The staff is usually great. I'm definitely a repeat customer and will continue to be. But... There are strange policies here that do not make sense. And they are adamant about them. When selling clothes, you have to bring your own plastic bin rather than using the ones there. They say for sanitary reasons (since covid). But the staff touch the clothes anyways, so that doesn't make sense. And bins are wipeable. So... ? The other strange policy came up when I brought back an unworn item with the tags still on. I asked for store credit since I lost the receipt. They said no, and said it could only be exchanged. What? Why? What else would store credit be used for - its the same thing as exchanging. But now I have to hang onto this item until I find something else I like? Lots that makes no sense here..

Brought them great streetwear, Steph Curry Warriors hat, they refuse it. “Sweat stains” They have no idea what they are doing!! Claim to buy trendy items? Basketball hats plural with tags and no ware aren’t even acceptable. A Toronto Maple Leafs bucket hat which is in style currently still a no, I just washed it. Place is a JOKE.Rude staff too. At least the owner was friendlier and more helpful.

I was hesitant to bring my clothes here because I heard they can be picky but I was pleasantly surprised! Brought a basket full, they purchased almost half of the items and offered a fair price too. The process is very easy and they send you a text message when they’re done. I also found some items to buy and was able to make a trade which also brings down the sales tax. I’ll definitely sell and shop at Plato’s again!

Great second hand clothing and apparel store with some brand new items with tags. Wide selection of name brand clothing for all seasons. Footwear for all sizes and weather. A great selection of handbags and accessories. Some beauty supplies and custom made masks were on display today. I purchased an entire fall wardrobe for my daughter today from the 90% off clearance rack and paid under $20.00. They will buy your gently used mens and women's clothing and accessories as well, apply the credit to your bill and take advantage of the great prices.

Got decent money back for some items. Some they didn’t give much but the girl made it clear that they don’t advertise that. Other than that I made money on stuff I already parted ways with.

I called before going in to drop off clothes as I have never done this before. I asked if I could just drop in and what the process is and the women who answered was very short with me and said, “ya just come in”. I then said thank you and she hung up right away without saying anything. I got there and walked up to the desk and the employee didn’t even look up or speak to me. I said hello, and then he responded saying hello and didn’t bother to look up. I asked if this is wear I bring clothes and he said yes. He asked if I have done this before and I said no. He said that they do not accept clothes in bags, they need to be in a bin. I explained very politely that I called 15 minutes prior specifically to find out what I’m supposed to do and they just said to come In anytime. He said he would take them as it’s my first time which was nice of him. He explained the process to me and I waited until they were done. My entire conversation with this employee was outrageous. I have never been spoken to so poorly especially by a staff member at a store. Out of an entire bag full of clothes mostly never worn and brand names, he said they will only accept 7 things. I said okay politely and received the money. He asked if I want to know why most were not taken and I said sure. He said there were stains, pilling, ect. I said okay makes sense. He went to give me my rejected clothes to which he and another coworker started giggling at eachother while handing me the bags back and snickered as I walked out of the building. This review is mostly due to the insanely rude service and I to maybe suggest some type if additional customer training. I also told a couple friends about the experience I had and all of them told me they had similar experiences, some of them experienced this multiple times. I will never be returning here again and I will be telling everyone I know about this horrid event.I really hope something changes here for the sake of new customers.

Like the other reviews, very picky when they have stuff hanging that is definitely not nice nor in style. You can tell the people that work in the stores know nothing about fashion because of how they’re dressed. Somethings simply don’t go out of style like a pair of blue jeans. They were guess, I wore them once and they didn’t take them because they said they were more than 2 years old lol. This store is just as bad as the Pickering one. Must be run by the same person.
