Crescent Medical Centre

I have been seeing my doctor at Crescent Medical Center for about 6 years now since I moved to Calgary. It has been a great experience with a very friendly staff. Doctor Saad is very thorough and walks me through everything. He's also not afraid to take the extra steps to ensure everything is working right.

Clinic is clean and MOA's are really friendly. Not to mention Dr's are really nice and knowledgable. Been seeing dr amira as my family dr and I'm pleased to have her as my dr.

I wouldn't recommend Dr. Amira to anybody. She shows lack and knowledge and unwillingness to listen and explain concerns to the patients.In my first visit I had my ear plugged and she prescribed antibiotics when she had to clean my ear. My second visit was to know a test result. She read the test result and ask me to take another test in 6 months. She didn't answer my questions and she left the room. This two visits because my family doctor was not available. Stay away of this person.

I always feel well taken-cared of whenever I go to Crescent Medical Centre. Dr. Yasin and Dr. Amira are two of the best in Calgary! Even if I moved farther into the city, I don't ever plan to change doctors.The medical office assistants are always helpful. My schedule is all over the place and whenever suddent issues arise that I needed to be seen or consulted, the MOAs are really helpful with appointment bookings. I know I am in good hands as I see how they make sure to clean the room every after patient.

Dr. Yasin has been my family physician for the past 8 years. He has always been a good listener and shows genuine concern and empathy for any type of health issues one might have. I would highly recommend Dr. Yasin as a family physician to anyone. The staff at the front desk have always been friendly and accommodating to me. Parking is not a problem on 37th Street or across the street near Safeway.

Why schedule appointments if you’re always running 20-40 minutes behind? I’ve only continued coming to this clinic because Dr. Caro has been my doctor for over 7 years but I’m so dissatisfied with my overall experience. She’s a nice lady and I have nothing against her persona, but as a doctor I feel that she doesn’t listen to or address my concerns half the time, reception doesn’t communicate at all, and it seems as the doctor never knows why I’m there even though they always ask on the phone. The other day they asked me to come down for a follow up, made me wait for 40 minutes at least to see Dr. Caro and find out I didn’t even need to come!! Again today I had an appointment at 3:45 and had to wait 20 minutes to see a doctor (a different one) During my visit she sent me some lab work I requested and told me to schedule a physical with Dr. Caro, so I went to the front to book one and the girls refused to book me in because apparently I’ve already had one in February even though I have no recollection of that. I honestly hate coming to this place but it’s been so hard to find a new family doctor I feel helpless.

I have been a long time patient of Dr.Yasin, even before he moved into Crecent Medical at his Westbrook Mall location. His current practice at Crecent Medical is disgusting. Was in recently for a regular prescription appt and the receptionists still spell my name wrong. The appt rooms are now filthy, smears on the walls, very dirty floors. Doctor Yasin always runs at least 20-40 mins late and arrives in room clueless as to your appt request. Prints out my script, wrong name again. Do not trust Crecent Medical and especially not Dr.Yasin. He is a Doctor with very poor bedside manners.

Pros- My doctor is good. Everyone is friendly. The staff here are good about calling you to set up and remind you of appointments.Cons- Doctor won't discuss very routine test results over the phone.I find the in person meetings usually are fast and there's a lot of information you're trying to remember from them. Later on you might need one thing clarified or to ask a simple question you didn't think of fast enough.These things could be done in a three minute phone call with your doctor. It would be very helpful if they let you schedule short calls with your doctor for these mundane things, especially when you've very recently met your doctor in person.But here you can't schedule a phone call with your doctor unless you have a medical emergency. Because I am a student and can't really afford to own a car right now, coming in for lots of in-person appointments takes some time and effort.Apart from this problem I think they do a good job.

Dr. Amira is a great doctor here in the clinic. She’s very understanding and listens to your concerns. I highly recommend and suggest her to be become a family doctor, her willingness to listen and discuss is very important to me as a patient who’s always anxious. Also great thanks to staffs in the front desk, very friendly, professional, and productive, especially reminding my upcoming appointments. They always saved me whenever I forgot about it!

My experience in this clinic has been absolutely terrific. The staff are very welcoming and kind. Dr. Yasin is a great doctor. He's very understanding and listens to your concerns. He takes the time to help with my mental health issues. Glad to have him as my family doctor.
