The Bun Bus

I got 2 combos one for me and one for my son. The guy must have been having a bad day or something. I felt like I was inconveniencing him by ordering. I got my sausage and it was just warm on the outside and cold on the inside. My son's hot dog was the same way. We didn't eat them after we thought they might not be cooked enough.. We ate the fries. They were okay. Edit. I went back after the owner asked me to contact them. She said she would replace both orders for free. I went back and i could literally see her trying to force a smile. I ended up not getting 2 combo like i she said i would.. I actually ended up paying for my fries. I tried to make small talk but you can literally just see the anger in this person for having to somewhat live up to their word. I'll never go back. I'll wait till it passes to another owner and support them like i used to before.

The Bun Bus, just off the highway was a great stop along the way to the trailer. The sausage was to die for! Make sure you get cheese on it. Also nice that it’s right beside Canadian Tire for a perfect pit stop.

I ordered a small poutine today for lunch!! Excellent service, food tasted Perfect! Poutine with real cheese curds.

Soooooo good!! A little pricey but definitely worth it! Fries are amazing, I'll be back again 100%! Also the lady is very nice at the till!

I had to get an item for my cottage from Canadian tire and I realized I hadn't went to a spot like the bun bus forever. I'm glad I did though because they appear to have weekend specials and that day I had a dill pickle poutine" along with my sausage. It was amazing and an interesting combination.I'm sad to say I'm not in Barrie more often so I could try more creative features on their weekend menu.Great food and friendly staff."

The woman working there today cooked the fries perfectly! Crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The gravy is a bit fake tasting and the addition of salt on the fries with it wasn’t necessary. Improve the gravy and add some chicken or veggie hot dogs/sausages and I’ll rank this 5/5.

Good fries, hotdogs and mozzarella sticks. House made marinara is a nice bonus as well.Unfortunately the poutine gravy is terrible though - has a greyish colour and a strange, watered down flavour. I had 3 bites and couldn’t eat any more.

One of the few food trucks open year round in Barrie. I had the sausage combo and it was amazing. It is 2 seconds off the highway so I will be back for sure!

Hands down the best fries I've ever had, blows any sit-down or chain fast food restaurant out of the water. Price-wise, very competitive and well worth the portion sizes; if you've ever left McDonalds still hungry after having a meal, you sure won't be after coming to The Bun Bus. It'd be nice if they had more vegetarian options, but I'm sure they'll add to their menu as time goes on. Would 100% recommend to anyone who enjoys fries and poutine.

The food here is great, my wife loves to come here for sausage on a bun. The staff is indeed really friendly as noted by others. This vendor is located at the Canadian Tire on Bayfield; we had planned to go this vendor today anyway, but weren't sure of the hours.I found it via a general Google Maps search, so when we saw the Canadian Tire we were really happy it was the one we already knew and loved.
