VanSpall's NOFRILLS Markham

A small Nofrills that is often lacking of freshness. i found some other Nofrills with fresher fruits and veggies but this one is just the closest to my home. I sometimes will driver further to go to the one on Warden and Hwy 7 is much bigger and fruits are also fresher there.

This store recently added 5 self service check out units. Cashier employees likely lost one day of work because of this. Still, I do most of my shoppong at this location. Fruit and vegetable display units have now been upgraded to what you see at the Loblaw stores. The Dollar Store" aisle has been eliminated

I like the store clean and not too busyI can always get the on sale items here too. The cashiers are nice and friendly. Easy to find parking in this Plaza. And in this Plaza there's McDonald's. very good no frill here!!

Very rude manager. Product with a May 29 best before date gone bad, today is May 19th. They refuse to exchange or refund. No and ifs or buts

this is my fav store and my store i shop at. The owner Sean is the best and welcoming . He cares about his customers and he always works hard to make sure things are available for the customers and the most organized store !

Another great visit. Feb 2020Always a great place to come to for your grocery needs. Parking is not a issue and the hours of operations is pretty good. Staff and management are attentive to your needs or questions.

Amazing pharmacy at this NoFrills location!! The service is outstanding!! The pharmacist is very friendly, professional and helpful to the best of your interests. I went for covid shot a year ago and it ran out. And I got a surprise call back from pharmacy later in the day saying there is a spot now due to someone else cancellation. I didn't expect that. There was another time that the prescription was out of stock at the pharmacy. And they knew I needed the medication immediately and couldn't wait for it. The pharmacist actually searched for it at the a different pharmacy (at Loblaws), called me and transferred my prescription, and told me to pick up my prescription there. The pharmacy treated me like their family members even though they don't know you at all. How caring and lovely the pharmacy is!

I went during the non rush hour since I was there in that area. I found everything that I was looking for and was able to finish my shopping in time.

On July 11, 2023, after paying for my groceries at VanSpall's Nofrills, I made a quick check on my bills. I do this because this Nofrills sometimes charges more than what the listed price on the shelves. I noticed that I was overcharged, so went to the customer service rep to try to resolve the pricing issue. The customer service rep went to the shelf where the Honey Comb cereal was, check the listed item code against the item and told me that someone put the item in the wrong place without offering to either change the price of the item to the listed price or provide the item for free based on The Scanning Code of Practice" as the item was less than $10.00. The more I talk to this customer rep

No Frills prices are equivalent to Metro, Longo's, Garden Basket. Less price saving and more Buy 3 to get a cheaper price" tactics. Won't be shopping at No Frills moving forward. This Markham location is much cleaner then Stouffville's location."
