Discount Car & Truck Rentals

So far so good. RAV 4. Just what died in a car accident.

RE: DISCOUNT CAR & TRUCK RENTAL - PORT ELGIN/SAUGEEN SHORESSo the Port Elgin/Saugeen Shores branch of Discount Car & Truck Rentals cancelled my reservation ON THE DAY I WAS SUPPOSED TO PICK UP THE CAR!!They claimed that whomever had the car they were going to rent to me decided not to return it to them. They did not have another car available. They suggested I drive to the next closest Discount - In Listowell - which is an hour and a half drive for me. I suggested they have someone from Listowell drive the car to Port Elgin, so I can pick it up in Port Elgin as booked. Needless to say they wouldn't do that.A friend of mine said the same thing happened to him when he booked with Discount in Port Elgin. They cancelled on the day he was supposed to pick his rental van up.I asked the employee at Discount if this happens often.....and she said YES!So, my recommendation would be to rent from another company if you need to rent a car in the Port Elgin area.
