So all the bad reviews seem to be coming from people either being lazy or blaming ait for them not taking responsibility for doing their due diligence. The blue book itself could use an over haul and should be modeled after the Saskatchewan apprenticeship system. I've been through the system twice now and both times ran into the same discrepancy for the last block where they arbitrarily decide how many hours they feel like should apply to the last block. I was given two different explanations each time, first time was told hours reset after second to last block is done so last block starts at 0. Second reason was an arbitrary that's just how it works" when I gave 3600 hours in for completion when I only needed 950 for finishing 3rd block and 1560 for second (i had proven over 1800 for the last period). This time the guy simply divided the 3600 in half then deducted a few hundred and added most of it to my third block and left me about 100 hours short for my final block. I see how this would frustrate people that are relying on the stamp to get that raise if they are going to do this type of thing "just because".Another thing is it's not clearly marked out where the nait board office is if you're not familiar with the campus

They are totally unprofessional. Probably have never worked a day in their lives in the trades. Paid for challenges said I can’t reschedule that I have used them all up. Listen here I paid for them I will do it when I feel ready. Doing a weld test for them you can only use a chipping hammer that’s blunt and a garbage wire brush. Give you head a shake go to a job site and see how many chipping hammers and wire brushes are used lol. Ait should be ashamed of themselves. I tell them how it is all the time.

Very poor information delivery, extremely hard to get ahold of and they don't seem very inclined to helping the people they require to use their services

Very useless, unhelpful and not to mention rude. Everytime you call each person gives you a different answer and none of them know what's going on. Dealing with these people is beyond frustrating, in the nicest way possible I'm not sure why they literally know nothing and still have a job. At one point they tried to tell me I didn't have enough hours for my next year, I told them to look in my bluebook since it's literally at their office, they denied having it and ended up having it all along . What a mess.

The communication system is atrocious and could use a rehaul. Wait times are also horrible. System seems to not automatically update so when milestones are achieved during your apprenticeship, you must call for them to manually update completions. Frustrating dealing with AIT especially when your wages are directly influenced by their system.

The new location is in the Center of Applied technology in nait located on the fourth floor. There is street parking for 1 hour that is free but it is very limited. Other than that there is busing and train. This is where you can also take exams. The ladies were very friendly and more than willing to help out.

When you call you can never get ahold of them. Even if you call exactly when they open, they cancel your apprenticeship if something is forgotten. Then cancel it for no reason at all. When my program got changed from a 3 year to a 4 year. Directly after my apprenticeship was canceled and I can't even get ahold of them to fix it. Legally should have been grandfathered in as a j man. As they broke contract
