Canadian Association of the Deaf

I have tried contacting CAD so many times over the past 25 years. They never responded. I'm now filing a complaint about their nonprofit.

Canadian Association of the Deaf went downhill in 1990's with Jim Roots doing nothing for 35 years with lofty salary. Now the board hired a hearing person for the top position, a big insult to the capabilities of deaf leaders of Canada. This new leader does not sign well and does not socialize with the Deaf community.Richard Belzile retired with a comfortable pension. Why is he taking a top position for the Deaf Canadians?Imagine a black organization hiring white leader. There'll be outrage.Imagine CHHA (hard of hearing) hire a Deaf person who signs. CHHA will never allow that.Deaf people are the ONLY minority who does not get to run their own organization. Why do we get stepped on EVERY DAY?Deaf President Now 1988.Deaf President Now 2006.Have nobody learned anything?CAD told the whole world that Deaf people cannot be leaders.Canadian Association of the Deaf does not represent Deaf Canadians.
