Davina's Swim House - Marlee

My children have been regular attendants at Davina’s swim house for years and I’m happy to report every person I’ve come into contact with has been amazing. From the front desk with Donato to the supervisors and the instructors themselves- they all go above and beyond to make sure the kids are having great experiences and learning to swim to the best of their ability. My daughter has moved up badges almost every session and is way ahead of most kids her age thanks to Rodrigo’s lessons. If you’re thinking of putting your kids into lessons at Davina’s I feel there’s no better swim school around!!

After our children spent a few years having swimming lessons on Marlee, they refused to refund us $75. We have since taken our business to Frank's Swim School. We have spent thousands at Frank's. Davina's gave up all that money to steel $75 from an average family. Frank's is amazing. They are flexible, offer make up classes and refunds, have excellent instructors and a nice big pool to work with.

Just wanted to provide an update and change the rating. Since last summer we have moved my daughter to another location (Carluke) and our experience has been very different. She had an amazing instructor (Jayden) and the manager (Aaron) is very friendly and attentive. My daughter is also much happier and enjoys going for her swimming lessons.Very disappointed with Davina’s swim house and I do not recommend it especially for private lessons. I have signed up my daughter for private lessons ( $898.85 for 7 lessons) and she had a new instructor for every single lesson (mostly junior, probably in training instructors). With every instructor she was back to square one with no tangible progress due to disjointed and inconsistent lessons that left her disappointed. Davina's did not even notified us about the continues changes and chaos in training. Even when we tried to reach out to them they did not respond. This might be isolated incidence (Al least I hope so) but I feel compelled to share our experience with other parents so they don't have to deal with the same situation and be cautious when you deal with this institute.

We were in a Parent & Tot class during Winter on Wednesdays at 4:45 pm. The instructor was very nice but needs more training. Everything was repetitive and most of the time we were doing solos and not as a group where we can sing and get to know others through songs. I know babies can only do so much but it was a little boring. I could have done it myself if we had a pool in our building. We pay so much for less.We won't be back again.

My son has done 2 semesters and we absolutely love it. Instructors are very engaging and care about the students. They showed many techniques that community centre lessons don't bother with and the pool is always the right temperature.

I started taking my baby this spring and their instructors are good. It’s nice that it’s a small class so they can focus on each baby and they give good advice to help the babies improve. The classes are great. However, the staff at the front desk is not very helpful. They usually have 2 or 3 people there and they are not attentive to the kids. There was a mom there the other day with two kids and the bigger one went out the door while mom was busy with the little one and the staff at the front desk (3 of them) didn’t even realize. It was another parent who stepped outside to find the kid. When you ask the staff for information about the lessons, they always just refer you back to the website. Not sure what they do besides taking attendance to the classes. I am sure there’s no need to have 3 people there if their only job is to take attendance.

We love Davina's Swim House!!! In such a short period of time my 2 year old has become much more comfortable in the water and she absolutely loves her instructor. The facilities are really great and well maintained. The staff are really helpful and kind, it's always such a joy to go and watch my daughter swim there every week.

I have had such an incredible experience with the staff at davinas swim house. They went above and beyond for my 4 year old son and myself. Debbie, latesha, and Elliott, have all made our family swimming experience enjoyable. The best there is!!!

Our kids swim in Davina's Fern Ave PS lessons and absolutely love it. The teachers are great with kids. Our youngest wasn't a big fan of pools or swimming but the teachers were so great that by end the first class, he refused to get out of the pool.The class sizes are perfect. Our kids get lots of time to swim. The oldest has great focus in these class sizes and swims the entire lesson. He's already moved up a few levels, thanks to the teachers helping him work on his abilities.The management team is amazing. They've been so helpful and accommodating.Highly recommended!

The service is very poor. The instructors are bunch of teenagers that spend half of the class chatting with each other. The class is only 30 min and in between each kid’s turn the instructors spend at least 2-3 min just chatting. So not worth the price you pay for the class.
