A lot of work goes into running a food bank and most hours put in are all volunteers from the local community. Nice to see that people in Nanaimo care enough to volunteer and keep these places going so that people at a time of need in their life can get what so many of us take for granted.....food. Thank You to all who volunteer for the food banks in this city!!!! Without you it may not exist!!!!

I recant my previous statement. The service provided is nothing short of amazing but the executive director is a closed minded, doesn't want to hear it unless it came from his mouth, snake in the grass tyrant.

Nanaimo leads the country when it comes to foodbank services. Partnering with local grocery stores means more food for those needing help and less waste in our landfills. Selection is generally varied and wide, meat , produce dairy and bakery items are all represented in your typical package and quantity is sufficient to truly make a difference in day to day life for clients. Heartfelt gratitude to the many volunteers who make it happen several times a week in varied local sponsoring destinations, there is one in your neighborhood every week. Please help support this lifeline organization of you can, your dollar donation buys 5 bucks worth of food.

Great place when you need help for food and wonderful staff helping there. Just a great service to help people down on there luck. I've donated to them and have also had to use there services.

☆You have to see it with your own eyes. ☆How hard they work for the people and it's their own pleasure to do so.☆In the end its to have people with food in their bellies and to carry on living a life to enjoy.. in the end I believe it's the one place.. all gather from different ethnicities and from different walks of life it's sort of a corner of God's coffee house and in strange ways bringing all peoples together.

I had no idea how much is housed here and how many people they are helping. Some of my work mates and I volunteered to sort some of the food that we were donating and it was such a positive experience. We felt so inspired that we are now going to set up a monthly slot where we go volunteer again. The staff and other volunteers were so positive and welcoming, really felt appreciated.
