This is such a lovely gym. It's very fancy with tons of amenities like foam rollers, bean bag chairs and a coffee shop. Also the climbing is excellent and the route setting is very accurate within the v levels.

I don't write reviews often, but feel that this deserves one. Bloc 9.81 is an amazing modern climbing gym with an extremely welcoming environment. While it may be smaller than some other gyms in the region, they make up for it with quality routes. They hold regular events which are always a joy. They also have a small cafe & bar which is perfect from everything to a before session snack, or an after climb drink.It's obvious that the owners care deeply about the climbing community, and for this reason I can't recommend this gym enough.

The perfect gym for bouldering!1. The place is clean and tidy2. Lots of space to rest (so people don’t have to sit on the mats)3. Expensive holds are used even for beginner boulders4. Route setters are like chefs in a restaurant. This gym has really good chefs. Easy boulders are still fun to climb, and you can expect to learn something from the harder ones.5. Difficulty ranges from V0 to V12!6. Staffs are friendly and helpful7. This is one of the most visually pleasing gyms I have ever seen, both inside and out. Check it out yourself.8. Sadly, this is not my home gym. But I can confirm that the problems are changed fast. Every two to three weeks the whole gym will be reseted.

Really nice new gym! Opened in Dec 2022, super fresh still, new holds and a Kilterboard. The setting here is really great, after some mediocre gyms, this relit my love of bouldering. Would make this my home gym if I lived nearby.Good espresso and food offering, too.

This gym is a straight A++. Beautiful and creative route setting, friendly staff which has a great taste in music, clean, nice bar. There is a Kilterboard and a dedicated area for warm up / stretching / exercising. Can recommend!

Really nice new gym, lots of wall space, grades from V0 - V12 when I visited which means you'll always have something to work on!Modern slab and comp style setting, with most problems being volume and crimp based. Big Kilterboard too, so you can train on that as well.Only downside is that I could see it being slightly less accessible for kids and beginners due to the hold types and setting style. However, for stronger climbers, it's a welcome change from other Ottawa/Gatineau gym's styles and I'd highly recommend it.

Hands down the best climbing gym in the Ottawa/Gatineau area! Best setting, best atmosphere, best community, extremely inclusive (Queer nights, drag shows, categories for gender-diverse people in competitions), great music always with a good beat for climbing, pristine facility with all the amenities you need, and great food/café! Highly recommend :)
