Waterford Retirement Community

Toxic work environment that management refused to do anything about. Fall risk residents left without adequate supervision despite repeated urging of this very simple concept. Did not enjoy. Found memory care grossly inadequate. Left and recieved a settlement over an issue that the union sided with me on that management was being absurd. Did not enjoy and would not recommend.I'd like to add: the Christmas bonus I got from the supposedly wealthy people that own the place was a handful of candy. The bonus I got from my current employer was actual money.

I once worked at a retirement home as a receptionist for 3 years.This retirement home was a hotel before it became a home.I called around last winter and asked if they were hiring part time as I wanted a 2nd job. I also live 5 mins or less from there.They loved me over the phone, loved my experience and resume.2nd interview was via zoom.I noticed when the zoom started they were taken back and still seemed to like me but began to ask IF i get the job i must change my hair to something more normal and natural" keep in mind I am a Canadian woman

What an amazing place. They have done a fabulous job thinking out every little detail to make this an incredible community. It is stunning inside and very comfortable, while making you believe you are at a resort. The highlight of the establishment is the Atrium. It is a tropical beauty that has comfortable chairs to curl up with a book or stop by for tea and cookies.The facility is clean and bright and the staff, for the most part, are attentive and quick to act. They are still working out some communication bugs, but I have faith this will come together in time.

I worked as a nurse at The Waterford Ottawa prior to moving away. Beautiful facility, and the staff were wonderful to work with. I felt very supported in my role, and would recommend as both a staff member, and to any future resident.

My grandmother has been a resident here for a few years now and I really enjoy coming to visit her here. I can she is happy and has made many new friends both with other residents and staff. It makes my family so happy to see!

The old lady that work from front desk was not a good example of a good services she’s so hard to approach or to ask….never smile and she’s not being polite on her job…. She should retired if she’s not polite on her duty so disappointed!!!

I loved the Southway Hotel. The location is great and the hotel was great. They have a pool which has always been in good shape whenever I stayed there. And I stayed there many, many times. I am so sad that this hotel has closed down and is now a retirement home, but I think the owners are the same people so it may be an excellent choice. I can't really say, but can only speculate.I don't understand why some person named Google User

If you are looking for a GREAT place to work. It's done. I look forward to coming to work every shift. The management and staff alike are supportive in every way for me to do my job well all the time.

Worse place I’ve ever worked. Residents we’re great but management is horrible. Cheap rich ppl who overwhelm every department with to many tasks that either employees don’t get to go on break or they make mistakes because there brain has to do a million things at once. I left a comfortable job fir this career opportunity and had very little time to focus on payroll since they didn’t want me to schedule another receptionist when I’m working on payroll leaving very little time to double check and make sure there no errors, they booted me out after 3 werks. Even though I was overall a great fit. Residents get tired of the staff switching all the time but clearly owners don’t care.

I had an opportunity to be a part of this amazing team and I am amazed on how amazing they are. Beautiful place. The owners really captured every element If you haven't considered The Waterford I would suggest you come for a visit.
