After several phone calls to various dog trainers, could not get a person on the phone. Found Canine Magic and got Terry, a friendly and knowledgeable voice on the other end of the line. I could tell instantly she cares for the animals she trains and takes great pride in it. So by the end of the phone call Terry had invited my fiancé and myself to observe a class. We showed up and watched all the dogs varying in age from 7 months to a year or so in age. All dogs were obeying commands and performing in ways that we wished our puppy would. When Terry brought out some distractions for the dogs, all refrained from chasing the distractions. My fiancé Kristen and myself looked at each other and said no way in hell Piper, our then 4 month old hound mix rescue, would be so obedient under those conditions. So we signed up and saw improvements the very first week after the first lesson. We made great strides with each lesson thereafter. To our amazement, the day the distractions came out in class, Piper did not budge and obeyed our commands. They have again saved the day for me. 14 years ago I went to Terry to help train my 10 month old Shiloh Shepherd – Morgan - who would not listen or stop barking. Morgan was with us for 13 years and was a great dog *after* we met Terry. I now have another Shiloh Shepherd named Kona who I had to take to Terry & Mike at 5 months old because she wouldn’t listen, was biting, typical puppy stuff, but too the extreme!! The first 2 months w/Kona were horrible and when I knew I had to take her to training, I immediately went to Canine Magic. The transformation was immediate w/Kona and she turned the corner and is a GREAT dog, again – thanks go Terry & Mike. I’ll be sad when we’re done w/group classes as it’s great to see how well all the dogs are doing and how some of the more reactive dogs have changed. I know people have a stigma against e collars, but Mike goes over the workings of the collar in the first semi-private classes and then Terry works the dogs in the groups to train the owner on handling different situations and working the collar and the dog. They love what they do and it shows!! I highly recommend Canine Magic for help in training your dog(s)!!

Nothing but positive things to say about Terry and Mike and their training program. They helped us with our headstrong pup, and we are all better off for it. The class sizes are just right and the attention given throughout is nothing short of amazing. Terry actively watches all of the dogs behavior throughout all of the class and provides assistance and insight as necessary.I would definitely (and have) recommend Canine Magic to anyone looking to train their dogs, as going through the training has helped us gain confidence that our pup is going to behave properly and safely, and when he gets a little rambunctious we know how to easily correct that behavior.Thanks again Terry and Mike.

My husband and I highly recommend Canine Magic Dog Training. It's a wonderful program! We have 2 year old Mini Goldendoodles (brothers) who loved to bark and run free. We were very concerned for their safety.Our family committed to the program and training. Once we were properly trained, we were able to guide/direct the pups correctly. The end result was a complete transformation. Their behavior has improved, and our stress has evaporated.It was a pleasure to watch other participants (owners and pets). I first observed a class before registering the obedience training program for our puppy. I'm glad we took the classes and our pup made great progress during the 8 weeks training. Our pup is now well behaved and walks nicely on the loose leash. We enjoy walking him outside and taking him to different public places. The techniques Terry taught is very effective. We are still using the techniques/commands everyday! Thanks Terry for the great work!

I highly recommend Canine Magic! I have had 3 dogs go through this program and all with outstanding results. Obedience training is the main goal but Terry is always there to help with the non-obedience issues as well. My first rescue could be very intimidated by other dogs and just wanted to run blindly away. Terry told me how to handle it and my dog is fine now. Terry is always available, even after graduation. It’s the best training my dogs and I have had!

I couldn't be happier with our experience at Canine Magic. I learned so much about canine communication and how to properly observe and understand my dog. The confidence it's built for Layla and I has drastically improved our already good relationship. We went on vacation the day after our last class and it was the best one we've ever had. We could both relax so much more. She hiked her first mountain.. the trail was pretty steep and she didn't try to pull me once! She was right by my side the whole time. We were even able to take her off leash in a few places! I highly recommend this program.

I can’t recommend Terry enough. My dog is so well behaved now! I love how short and quick this training was and how much progress happened in such a little time. I can finally enjoy walking my dog and not have her pull me the whole time. Thank you so much Terry!

I have only great things about the personal training I had with Mike. I adopted a dog that has bitten me 3 times and I have to say after the training it has not happened . I learned how to train myself and Rolo. We had a great experience. Thank you Mike from Rolo and myself .

As a first time dog owner, I was very unsure of my ability and that of my new puppy to actually meet the expectations Terry and Mike set for our training sessions. Here we are, only a few short months later with puppy who responds so well to our commands and LOVES the freedom of being off leash. We continue to work on what Terry and Mike taught us so we can reap the benefits of having a well-trained dog. I would highly recommend Canine Magic!
