Holy smokes! Go in August...it was empty...we got to choose a y camping spit we wanted...so we come one...no.8, right above the falls! Staff friendly, bathrooms dated on the outside but fresh and clean on the inside. No bugs. No showers though... maybe we missed them!I would stay there again!

This park really impressed us. We had a 2 night stay and it was the best campsite of our roadtrip. The most exciting part was that the big beautiful river was only something like 100ft behind our site, visible from our tent. The powered washrooms were clean and often empty, and there were also some well maintained outhouses stationed conveniently around. The walking trail to Big Falls was incredible, with partially wooded paths that can be steep but offer some really memorable views. Also, grey jay birds are friendly and abundant here! Though, this was also the buggiest campsite we stayed at, there were a lot of misquitos and wasps. Also, for those with nice cars and trailers the park is not paved and the long dusty dirt road to get there is an adventure of it's own, including some big holes and abrupt dips. Even so, our experience here was unforgettable and we are going to be back!

I'm a seasonal camper of this park for 15 year's and been coming here for over 30 year's and I think this is one of the best parks in Newfoundland to visit and camp and fish salmon amazing

Beautiful camp ground! Unfortunately it's far out of the way for most travelers but it's worth it. This place is all but forgotten by most people who aren't here to fish. When we stayed there might have been 20 campsites taken out of the 160, facilities were ok the falls would be the only major reason to come here though.

The road to get there is ridiculous, gravel, paved, and bumpy. The view of the falls was nice, but not with the 45 minute detour to see it.

Our only complaint was a chilly shower in the morning. Otherwise clean and comfortable facilities and spacious campsite. Great angling and stunning views.

This park is surprisingly remote, it's not an easy drive to get there, although you don't need a 4x4 if you come via Cormack. So deep in the woods, and far from anywhere, you might expect things to be a little primitive, but this park has excellent facilities and uses starlink for their internet service, meaning the wifi is better quality than most of the rest of the island. The falls, unimaginitively named, are true to their name of big falls". You can get down right beside them and watch the water thunder down past you

A great park! Not a ton to do, but very relaxing and the falls were beautiful with lots of fish jumping. However, be aware the the roads are VERY rough for about 10km on either side of the park - do not attempt in a small rental car like I did!!

A beautiful provincial park with a rich history, experience big falls, or salmon fish, hike the trails or go to crooked feeder brewery!
