RUN RUN RUN from this terrible company !!!!! 3 months later and my claims is still open and nothing has been done. They run you around in circles, they don’t return phone calls or voicemails, they never answer their phone and never follow through on anything they say the will. I have asked for a manger over 5 times and my requests are completely ignored !!! I will be switching companies as soon as my claim is closed !!!!

I was driving down from Toronto, ON to Charleston, SC when I was involved in a car accident in Charlotte, NC on February 18, 2023. I was rear-ended and hit the car in front of me. The police and the insurance companies ruled the accident to be the fault of the driver who rear-ended me. The police incident report number is 230218084HA and my insurance claim number is 35364819 with Aviva.My car is currently in Charlotte at CARSTAR Jerry Rhynes Collision Charlotte, the garage chosen by my insurer Aviva. According to written confirmation from the garage, my car has been fully repaired and ready for pickup since March 17, 2023, but they will not release my car to me until they have been paid by my insurance company. As of June 1, 2023, 76 days after the completed repair, the garage has not been paid.I was told by Aviva to rent a car in Charlotte at my own expense and keep the receipts. I was assigned to a claims adjuster at Sedgwick who sent my car to CARSTAR Jerry Rhynes Collision Charlotte to be repaired. The repairs estimate was approved on March 2, 2023, and I was told by the garage that it would take approximately one week for my car to be repaired. I stayed in the area and incurred out-of-pocket expenses for accommodations, car rentals and incidentals. I kept all the receipts with the expectation to be reimbursed.The final repair date got pushed back multiple times, so I had to fly home on March 15, 2023 for professional and personal obligations. In the meantime, I was not able to get in contact with my adjuster after March 2, 2023. I emailed her several times and left several voicemails.I was assigned to a new claims adjuster, but was not informed of this change or who my new adjuster was until another adjuster, who was not assigned to my case at Aviva Canada, intervened. I was not contacted by my new adjuster until May 3, 2023.In the meantime, I continued to rent a car at my own expense in Toronto. I sent receipts of all the expenses I had incurred thus far to my new adjuster on May 3, 2023, which at the time had amounted to $8,057.65 CAD. I have since incurred another month of car rental expenses. As of June 1, 2023, I have not been reimbursed a single dollar.Beyond the back pain I have suffered as a result of the accident, the stress of the situation has taken a toll on my personal and professional life.I do not believe that my insurer has fulfilled its service level agreement with me, and I have been in contact with a lawyer in North Carolina where the accident occurred.

that automated phone system thing can go float itself, called one number says to call this number so I did and then it says not available in your province and jus hangs up, when I was referred her by a car dealership that says give them a call, sometimes you need a person to talk to not a robot

I HAVE BEEN A LONG TIME CUSTOMER OF AVIVA BUT AT THE TIME OF RENEWAL OF MY INSURANCE THIS YEAR I HAD A SERIOUS ISSUE WITH THEIR STAFF AND WAS ABOUT TO REDUCE THE RATING OF AVIVA BECAUSE OF THAT ISSUE BUT MR. MANVIR BADESHA, MANAGER AT AVIVA CALLED ME AND RESOLVED THE ISSUE. HE NOT ONLY SPENT A LOT OF HIS TIME FOR ME BUT ALSO USED HIS PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE TO SETTLE THE MATTER. Have been customer of Elite Insurance and Ogillvy Insurance for 15+ years. This years renewal was totally out to lunch. So I shopped around and got a much better price from Intact insurance. On my renewal paperwork there is no part to fill in when not renewing, Okay with me so I did not renew. Now they want a fee for covering time on risk. Give me a break. I didn't renew because your prices were disgusting

Called to open a claim on a Tuesday, within the end of the week, my car was in the shop being repaired. The adjuster was professional, kind and always responded on time. I highly recommend their services. I've had insurance with smaller companies over the years and their level of service does not compare to my experience.

NEVER use Aviva!Minor accident ($3071 in damages). Car was taken to Non Preferred shop.Unbeknownst to me, Aviva hired lawyers. Took 5 months to move car to Preferred shop. Aviva DID NOT ensure care of my car during this time.After moved to new shop was advised repairs were “completed” by NP shop although, they could not confirm all were completed properly plus they advised overspray on front end of car.Due to sitting so long plus Aviva not taking care of my car - engine seized, battery dead, started seized, brakes seized.Aviva offered me cash settlement of $3,071. Said that’s all they’re responsible for.10 months later, car is still at Preferred shop, have not heard from Aviva other than in June to return rental car that they paid $11,500 for.Still paying biweekly for 2018 car that cannot move until I put $10,000+ work into.All this even though the FSCO states “It is your insurance company's obligation to return your vehicle to its pre-accident/loss condition.”I guess Aviva doesn’t know this?!??!!!
