Samurai Sushi & Teriyaki
This was my first time trying out Samurai Sushi & Teriyaki in Parksville, and I am so disappointed in the $7 chopped scallop roll that barely had any scallops!! I have never seen a chopped scallop roll looking so sad, like rice mixed in with the scallops, and very bland tasting. The only reason I'm giving this place 3 stars is because the sushi rolls in the party tray were decent and the yakiudon and teriyaki chicken were as expected. We ordered online and picked up at the given time, so service was fine. Too bad the chopped scallop roll was awful. :(

I have been coming here for a couple years. A few nights ago I was there for dinner with my children. The young waitress was rude and didn't know anything about the menu. I had questions and she would just say I don't know" or "ya I don't think we can do that". I had asked if they could make me a jalapeno bomb without fish

Fantastic sushi! We are from out of province and loved the quality of their sushi, and found the prices to be in line with the quality. We would happily eat here again.

Very poor service! They advertise as fast but is nothing of the sort. I ordered to go first week of May and they told me it will be an hour so I went ahead with it, 1.25 hr later we finally got our rushed slop of a meal and no utensils or tissues. They used to be good but no more, worth driving to Nanaimo to get faster service.

The prices have doubled in a year and the product has diminished… I believe it has changed ownership a couple of times in the last 2 years. The dynamite roll has an extremely small “prawn” in it and the prawn tempura has the same small “prawn” with extra thick tempura to make it seem bigger. The rest of the food was Luke warm and even the tea was just warm. Very disappointed and will not be returning. Good luck in the future!!

The staff is so welcoming. Any time I’ve been be it sit down or take out/pick up they are efficient with their service and the food is on the table so fast. Great rolls. Won’t go anywhere else for sushi in Parksville <3

Great food. Ordered the Dancing California roll, Ninja Roll, and Spicy Bulgogi Beef. All were delicious! Service was quick and staff were friendly. Highly recommended if you're in town.
