I needed to get a professional photo done for my business cards, so decided that it would be a good idea to get my makeup and hair done by a professional so the photos would come out as good as possible. I found Kim when I googled make up professional in Surrey. So glad I found her! She listened to my concerns and worked with me to get a professional and polished look. My experience working with Kim for my wedding events as well as family wedding events is that she is skilled, professional and truly is passionate about her industry. Not only is she an amazing artist but she is easy to work with and always listens to what her clients are comfortable with. She is also very knowledgeable about dressing brides and even helped when my family had random questions such as how to best place a boutonniere. Kim is kind and easy to talk to...the perfect person to keep a bride calm on her wedding day or comfort a mother who is emotional for her son's wedding which is what she did for my mom.Plain and simple, Kim is the best and I can't wait to work with such a talented, amazing professional again!

If I could give a 10/5 I would. Kim is the epitome of a hair and makeup artist. I felt like a million dollars. My hair was amazing and the makeup- not caked on, I actually couldn't even feel that I had makeup on. The biggest thing that stood out for me was that it still looked like me. It was so natural. Definitely going back and I very very highly recommend Kim Basran.

I had the wonderful pleasure of meeting Kim and indulge in a fun session getting my makeup and hair done for a very special evening event. She shows great expertise in this art and I was extremely thrilled with the outcome. Kim has such a warm personality and just makes you feel right at home. From the moment, I started to plan my son's wedding, one of the first things I thought about was whose going to do my hair and make up. As being the mother of the groom, this would be such a special moment and I wanted to look my best ! Of course, there have been many HMU artists that have surfaced over the years, I could have gone with any one of them. However , there was not even a doubt in my mind that I wanted Kim . As someone who has extensive experience, I knew right away I could trust her . I could be open and honest of what I wanted. that to me was invaluable. It was important for me to look like myself. I have short hair, but the first thing Kim said to me, with a bundle of energy was , just watch and see what I do ! I was not sure what Kim could do, but wow, she did such an outstanding job on all of my looks (3) . Each event, I got so many compliments. She truly made me feel great !! I look back at the week that I spent with Kim and add that to the special memories of the wedding week. She goes the extra mile to make you feel comfortable , she listens,, she talks , she jokes around and she played my favourite music to get me ready for the events ! I had an amazing experience with Kim. I reached out to Kim as I was dealing with some hair issues. She is so knowledgeable that I was lucky that she was able to teach me how to manage my hair. She is a great teacher and I am so lucky to have connected with her. Her demeanour is very pleasant, encouraging and patient. Best of all she opened my eyes to minimizing my product use and just using manual techniques. A great eye opener. She is a person you would want to to learn from. Having extremely reactive skin, Kim was an absolute professional and took serious concern with my inability to wear mainstream makeup products. Not only did she apply my makeup beautifully, but my skin did not react at all. She used suitable products based on my skin type and made me feel so comfortable. My previous experiences with most makeup artists left me feeling as though I could not be helped or silly for even seeking services because of my skin. Kim is experienced, knowledgeable, caring, and passionate about what she does.

Kim is amazing! Her work is extremely professional and she gives you the exact look you want. My makeup and hair lasted the entire day. As well as doing a great job, Kim makes your time at her studio very enjoyable!

Never have I ever received more compliments than when Kim has done my make up. I have used her services a few times now and every time I am more than satisfied. She really knows what she is doing. She is able to cover my severe dark cicles without making me look like i am wearing a mask. Her experience and skill level surpass the vast majority of make up artists these days. She is professional, yet makes you feel comfortable as if you had been friends forever!I also took one of Kim's classes to learn how to do my own make up. She is a great teacher. Again her skill and experience show in how she teaches. After taking Kim's class I feel a little less self conscious about my eyes because of my ability to cover them up. Thank you Kim. You truly are leader in your field and I would not hesitate to recommend Kim to anyone!
