First & foremost, stop looking for a photographer & book BDFK. You won't have any regrets and they will exceed all expectations. I can't truly put into words how phenomenal both Marcin & Dorota are. From their true attention to detail to their personalities there isn't a single moment that was lacking in confidence. Not to mention their photography skills compliment each other.We first met with them over Zoom and instantly felt like old friends. They asked us our vision & excelled in every aspect. Eloping from NY felt overwhelming, until we met with them. They chose the locations and time of day that would get us the results we were looking for. They are quick to answer questions, allowed us to change our date without hesitation & even added on a day to allow for a ceremony so I could get my hair and makeup done.Now to the adventure. We chose the hiking elopement in June. Normally June weather is warmer; however, heavy snow fall happened the day prior to our hike. We arrived at the top of the mountain just prior to sunrise but were quickly enclosed in fog & clouds. Dorota is the best hype woman to walk the earth. Although it was freezing her excitement and anticipation for outstanding shots kept us excited as well. We waited about an hour with no prevail & started to hike down. This is where Dorota & Marcin's professionalism & true passion shined. They were so disappointed that the weather wasn't on our side & were creating a plan to get us epic wedding shots even if it wasn't that day. However, a short while into our hike down the clouds broke & Dorota's determination was at an all-time high. Up we hiked again & I am SO glad we did. Their excitement through the shots keeps you engaged & wanting to see sneak peeks that moment. They even brought hot tea for us to have at the top of the mountain.We spent about 9 hours with the couple & there wasn't a moment we didn't feel like we have known them forever.We got our sneak peeks & I instantly cried. They are stunning. So beautiful I still have a hard time believing they are MY wedding photos. Family & friends are in awe of them. I knew they would be perfect, but the entire experience & photos are more than I could have ever imagined. Dorota & Marcin made our wedding day a fairytale & a unique experience that is one for the books.

BDFK captured our elopement in the mountains PERFECTLY!These two are the best photographs in Alberta, and best of all, they are kid, hilarious and make you feel like family.My husband and I could not be happier with our stunning elopement photos.

Marcin and Dorota were nothing short of amazing! We based our entire wedding off of finding their photography and couldn’t be happier that we did. Marcin has an eye for lighting and editing and Dorota has an eye for perfection down to every detail. They were professional, communicative, on time with everything, and so fun! We received ~10 photos a week after our event (the remainder will come back ~3-4 months later due to us being last wedding before Moraine Lake closed) and people still can’t get over how amazing they are. I have been asked by multiple friends and family now how to get married the way we did and who our photographers were based on the 10 photos! If you are debating on hiring BDFK photography, do it! I promise you won’t regret it!!

We are absolutely blown away by the pictures we have received back from Marcin and Dorota! This pair is so extraordinary talented, personable, and so fun! They made us feel comfortable and at ease with every pose which was important to us because we have never had professional pictures taken. Not only are they talented but they are also some of the kindest people we have ever met who made the short hikes such a pleasure with great conversation. I don’t even know where to begin…. And that sounds so cliche but it’s honest. My husband and I fell in love with the mountains years ago and knew that’s what we had to do. While there are so many options for those looking to navigate the family wedding with a hike after or skip the hike and do accessible mountain/lake photos we decided to elope and say our vows just the 2 of us, our officiant, Marcin and Dorota on the mountain in the early morning hours.From the moment we found BDFK and their breath taking work we knew they were so much more than just “wedding photographers.” Their ability to capture your moment will leave you in complete awe and the photos speak for themselves.Right from the start they were so easygoing and wonderful to work with. Safety was their number 1 priority. They helped us pick a location that suited us, they checked weather constantly and adapted the plan when it looked like a severe storm may be coming to our location.So importantly they made us feel comfortable. After emails and zoom chats we met early in the morning on the day with a good hike and conversation that flowed easily. They packed extra gear and made sure we were comfortable, and even though it was a rather chilly experience they had us relaxed and laughing (so sorry for the chilly stiff poses but thank you for making it look so so effortless).It was an adventure we will never forget and we will always be so appreciative and in love with our amazing wedding experience and out of this world photos that captured it.Thank you Dorota and Marcin, we really don’t have enough words to tell you what this meant to us!- Love Sabina and Jeff

Dorota and Marcin of BDFK Photography are simply THE BEST!!!We booked them for an engagement session way back in June 2020 as we originally planned for our church wedding on December 2020. However, due to the pandemic, we had to reschedule our session with them multiple times. Even with their hectic schedule, they still politely accommodated us and we are just beyond grateful for their understanding and patience. We finally had our session with them last July 2022 and it was a very beautiful experience working with this awesome couple. They helped us get comfortable with our poses, taught us how to project in front of the camera, and helped us enjoy the entire process. Dorota and Marcin are very easy to work with, creative, very punctual, professional, very talented, and they definitely know their craft! We had an amazing time with them in Moraine Lake, Lake Louise, Peyto Lake, and Bow Lake. They both have great sense of humour and lots of stories to tell! There was never a dull moment with them. We can't say enough about the quality of work they do. They sent us great sneak peeks in a week and we fell in love with the pictures. We get lots of compliments whenever our families and friends see our engagement pictures. Ok we have the best experience to share about BDFK photography!On June 9, 2023, we had BDFK out to shoot our wedding day. We had a lot planned throughout the day, so we met a few times on zoom prior to the wedding to go over the many details. Dorota & Marcin had some great input and picked 3 amazing spots for us to get shots during our first look and our after ceremony pictures.During the day, they tag teamed both of our getting ready locations. They made us feel very comfortable with the cameras and also did a solid job of hyping us up, we enjoyed every minute of them.At the ceremony, the set up so fast and had their locations picked out for great compositions as we came down the aisle. We also never noticed them in our face during the ceremony and vows but they ended up getting great candid close up pictures.During one of our pre plan meetings on zoom before the wedding, we had made a plan to do a dip at the end of the aisle walking out of the ceremony. Great idea and I totally recommend you do it!Even though it got a bit chaotic with our families for the after ceremony pictures, Dorota & Marcin were able to wrangle up the stragglers and hype them up for some more amazing group photos.After the ceremony, we went for some amazing scenic group pictures we could see the vision they were explaining. We chatted a lot while we walked around to and from the limo. BDFK is so personable and so sweet, they are the type of people you could see yourself going for a beer with and have wonderful conversation and a lot of laughs.We arrived at the reception 3 minutes earlier then planned, their attention to details and time are impeccable. They did a really good job staying out of the view of our guests while speeches were going on and came out onto the dance floor when the party got going.After a couple of days, we already got some wonderful previews. We cried when we saw the previews, they captured some very candid and sweet moments and the quality of the pictures are top tier!The reason why we decided to choose BDFK after a month of research of who to hire is because of a few reasons.1. They were very quick to respond with sample images2. Compared to other photographers, they pay attention to detail. From the composition to the amount of cropping on pictures to cut out silly faces in backgrounds3. When we met with them, Marcin & Dorota were such a pleasure to talk to4. They were organized5. As a photographer myself, I see BDFK as an inspiration and their work is above the rest.Now go follow them on instagram!

B.D.F.K Photography is one in a million. Dorota and Marcin are the better than the BEST!We had a mind blowing, fun, memorable, and an exciting experience because of how kind and talented they are (their work speaks for it).Dorota and Marcin worked diligently with our schedule/date changes and were able to secure our session with a short notice.In fact, they invested time for us on their wedding anniversary!!!! They showed so much passion and attention to detail while shooting. They directed us several times on how to pose for all locations.Dorota helped me consistently with my dress, shoes, and even comforted me with her coat/hand warmers when I was freezing during the shoot. It shows how caring, thoughtful, and kind they are. We are already looking forward for our next shoot with them. We cannot wait for another amazing experience!We feel lucky knowing them, and spending a beautiful morning in Banff NP with them.

All I can say is WOW! I wish I could give B.D.F.K Photography 10 stars. Dorota and Marcin are the best of the best. We had a sunrise engagement session with them at Moraine Lake and then went to Lake Louise and I am blown away by our beautiful photos. They captured the most special memories of us that we will be able to cherish forever. The session itself was so fun and they are experts at posing you so that it feels natural and comfortable. I think it really sets them apart that they both shoot during the session at the same time from different angels and positions to really get the best and most intimate shots. They are very knowledgeable of all the areas in Alberta and British Columbia and know the absolute best spots to go to in order to capture your love perfectly. Our engagement felt like a true fairytale and we will forever be thankful for Dorota and Marcin for their mastery in photography, their professionalism, and the end product of the most beautiful engagement photos I could ever imagine.
