I used their services this summer when I was moving from Vancouver to Port Coquitlam. They have a very friendly staff that took great care with my possessions. I recommend them to anyone in the Vancouver area!

They are nice and helpful people. You can count on their word. No doubt, I will call them next time I have a moving job.

I wasn’t goingto write a review and just leave the experience as it was, never using this company again and definitely not recommending them to anyone. But every time someone asked me how my move went, and I explained my experience, the more it angered me at the poor level of quality this company has.I was shopping around for a moving company given my time sensitive move. The moving company I wanted to use was booked and Moving on a weekday I wasn’t able to get my own people together like I normally would. I received a few online quotes and a few telephone quotes. Homestead was one of the companies who offered to do an in home quote and was the first one available to come by.The guy came by, seemed like a nice enough person. He walked around to all the rooms, saw what we had to be moved and said it wasn’t that much stuff. He provided a quote saying he quotes on the high side so the final bill isn’t more than the quote. He went as far as to say they moved the same amount of stuff on another move the night before where they charged a lesser amount than what they quoted me.After getting another few quotes I decided to go with them based on the quote and possibility of a lesser amount and set a time on the move of the day.On the day of the move, they showed up 30 mins late. They started strong but after about an hour they started slowing. Taking longer to load the truck than they anticipated , I bought lunch to boost moral and their energy level.After about an hour, the head guy says, “you know, you can call it at anytime.” I ask him what he’s talking about and he explains “it’s taking them longer than they thought so if I wanted to stay on track they could move what they had in the truck and leave whatever still there?!?!?!?!?!” I bring up what he has quoted and he back tracks sayings quotes are never what they are. He said they never know what the move involves prior to doing it?!?! I thought that’s what the IN HOME QUOTE was for?!?! Them the excuses come out, he blames me for not packing right and him having to move a bunch of smaller boxes instead of fewer large boxes? This is with myself and another buddy helping move things to make it quicker and easier.He tells me if I pay cash he can keep the bill close to the quote but it was still more then I was quoted.In the end I paid more than I was quoted for about 80% of my things being moved. So far I’ve spent another $200+ and two days on renting an open trailer and an enclosed trailer and I have another load to do to get the rest of my things.This outfit is a joke, in my opinion. I’d never refer anyone to use their service. If this review saves 1 person the headache of hiring substandard movers, it’s served its purpose. Movers are spared to take away from the stress of a move not as to it.

Amazing. Really quick but still extremely thorough service. Staff is patient and understanding. Moving is one of the most stressful things someone can go through. Homestead Moving makes things easier on you. I used homestead movers on a recent move. They were prompt and very efficient with my move. I would recommend to anyone.

Well let's start at the beginning. Booked a moving service with this company. My mother overheard this conversation. I've been phoning a bunch of other moving companies. I settled with this one, they ensured me my bedroom set would be bubble wrap and protected. I had precious brand new fuitniture from The Brick not even three months old. I even had the Brick come and fix a scratches and wood damage from the delivery. I Express this to James he ensured me that the move would be successful. I left out of town for work, I left my girlfriend and my mother too deal with the move. My girlfriend was really frustrated as well as my mother. I had to move from Coqitlam to Coquitlam. Inside the Coquitlam City, they tried to charge me $1,000 for the move with four movers, for 6 hours of labor that's outrageous! I have never in my life been charged that much money to move a 3-bedroom house. They went and damaged my brand new furniture after totally emphasize that had to be protected. I paid them $500 out of a thousand they tried to invoice me. I just returned back from out of town as for 6 days they have not returned my email. I am totally frustrated and my furniture isn't repaired and I want to discuss why the move took 6 hours to move a 3-bedroom house. Just a heads up this company is shady my mother and my gf is also going to post a review so please watch below. They had to deal with this issue so their story is accurate. I'm trying trying to get my brand new furniture repaired. He doesn't even have the balls to call me or email me back.

James and his colleague moved me from Vancouver to Powell River efficiently and effectively......in the pouring November rain. With two ferries involved, he worked out a way to pack the truck with my condo's stuff one day and spend the next day travelling, unpacking into my new rancher home in Powell River, and allow return to Vancouver. Their warmth, patience (with my anxiety around this move and worrying about absolutely everything that could go wrong) and expertise were much appreciated. As they told me many times during this adventure, we do this for a living and we do know what we are doing". Yes...THEY DO! It was all done at a very reasonable rate as well. I recommend this company without reservation and thank James again for his patience and advice."

Just completed our move from South Surrey to Loon Lake (near Cache Creek B.C.) The service from Homestead was excellent. They showed up when they said they would, they are friendly and personable and James and his guys took excellent care of our furniture wrapping everything that needed protection and then some. On the pickup end James arrived with his brothers son and on the delivery end arrived with his brother (all great guys). Love the fact this is a family business, quality control of staff is everything in the moving business. This was actually our second move with Homestead as we had them move us from Port Coquitlam 3 years ago. I did not hesitate to call them again, and was even more impressed this move.

No Storage, despite company name. Moving services only. Curt phone manner; he hung up before I was finished my inquiry because I mentioned not having a storage unit might warrant a change of advertising. I could still have used a truck, but I will find another company.
