Wish I had an option to put more negative review. Customer service Zero, management is terrible don't know how to talk to a customer. Supervisor (girl) is so rude. I was asking her something eventually she was really aggressive I asked her why...she told a customer just take your stuff and leave. I will encourage people not to use this location so they can start valuing there customers again.You should be ashamed of yourself

This location sold expired Turkey Breast. Cashier said the expiry date is not reliable and it is ok for you to buy it.Very rotten and overly ripe (literally compost garbage) fruits are sold in the discounted rack section.Eggs and dairy fridge section is extremely filthy and unorganized. Broken egg residue all over the fridge and days without cleaning.Overall lots of rotting produce.Unfit supervisors and bad customer service!What’s happening Food Basics!!

The new self-serve payment systems they installed have are just about the worst ones I have used to date. Produce is rarely fresh. Good sales in other sections at times.

My mistake walked in food basictook bread and went to automatic payment system machine .Money stucked inside more than 30 min standing there asked me several times.where you put the money....before someone come they guy standing there steven dandiyal watching everything and said dont said anything ... what is my right as a customer i know very well just provide that person proper training how to speak up with customeri called there some lady transfer my call to someone to someone bottom line story she teaching customer os wrong my 5$ still with you without buy anything..You are centralized figured it out who is right who is wrong “”Steve Dandiyal” must need proper training according to call the lady said dandiyal store manager

Great location but awful store. Needs cleaning also more staff. Produce are always old and empty. Most of the ailes were empty and impossible to get any help.

I like this accessible location since it's one of the bigger stores. Lots of different products compared to the smaller stores don't offer. Not bad for quick, last minute, inexpensive dinner options.

These 5 star reviews for the Food Basics store at 45 Overlea Blvd are definitely fake. Everytime I have walked into this store, I am confronted with rotting and moldy produce, shopping aisles blocked by boxes and stocker carts, no baskets for customers, and rude staff who don't seem to care about their work. The store looks tired and rundown too. Needs a Reno badly. The only thing good are the prices.
