As a UofT student, this is my favourite gym by far. A new and clean facility with a great atmosphere. I normally visit on off hours so there's more than enough equipment/space. Be warned that peak hours will be packed due to Varsity teams booking off sections. Also, all the weights are in kg.

Pros: very clean locker rooms and they have a lot of squat racks if that's what you are looking forThe view is niceCons:1) Correct me if I'm wrong - there were only two bikes and they are very uncomfortable. Also their interface is not very sophisticated. Hart House has much better bikes.2) I work out in the morning and the glass lets in all the sunlight so it's not as cold as you'd want it to be3) Summer membership price is disproportionate to the equipment selection - I was pretty disappointed. When I paid I wasn't expecting I won't get nearly as much choice as Hart House provides for half the price.4) Hours aren't fantastic5) Towels are not washed properly - there was a trace of someone's blood when I wanted to use it (gross!). I recommend you bring your own towel, especially considering that some people think it's okay to put it on the floor and step on it.

Odd gym layout - limited and cramped workout space. Majority of gym equipment gets reserved for school athletics teams during peak periods. Shower water temperatures cannot be controlled - some days it's frigid cold other days it's scorching hot. There's no proper ventilation above the toilets so be prepared to smell someone else's defecation. This gym also closes for extended periods of time over holidays and special events focused around U of T yet do not take that into account over its membership fees. But it's not surprising for U of T to be full of dirty business schemes - they love to shake every last penny out of their own students despite putting them into debt for decades to come.

I attended this gym 3-4 times a week as a student and now go as a recent alumni. It was very easy to get my status check complete and pay for my membership, they even got new kettle bells and have the option to wear a wristband to get staff to assist you in you workout now. Honestly love it here, I hope I can keep coming for a while!

The best strength and conditioning facility at UofT without a question. The equipment is world-class Eleiko plates in Kgs. Bumper plates and lifting platforms available for powerlifting and Olympic weightlifting. Not a large selection of machines for bodybuilding since this is a strength and conditioning focused gym. Air conditioning is great. Very helpful staff and an excellent view of the Varsity stadium. Only problems is sometimes the gym is reserved for varsity teams and not available. Go get your BARBELL FIX here !!!

Great facility with new equipment. The only issue I've found is that the top tier is frequently blocked off for team training or group session, limiting the number of squat racks available. It's possible to change your workout or take a barbell from another rack but can be annoying if you had a plan that required the rack. If they made it a bit easier to know when the top tier would be booked then one could plan accordingly.Otherwise, great facility, great staff, really enjoy working out here.

Love this facility. Was my go-to a couple years back, pre Covid. State of the art equipment, awesome staff, beautiful architecture.

Possibly Ontario’s best university basketball venue and spectator experience! As a visiting team fan it was extremely impressive and the home crowd, teams and facility personnel have incredible energy! If you are able, go support the Toronto Varsity Blues or whoever is visiting! One of the city’s best value spectator sport experiences by far! Well done UofT!

Excellent gym with great equipment. Not a ton of machines but if you're looking for free weights or conditioning, this is the right place. Only downside is when there are Varsity teams in there and the top floor is occupied.
