Ocean Breeze B&B

Margaret is one of the heartwarming persons I have ever met. We felt very lucky to stay with her. Great breakfast. Lovely rooms. Everything was perfect. We definitely will come back. Janine

Hidden Gem! The Ocean Breeze is Vancouver. It is in the very best location on the North Shore and from the window of my room i could see the entire city including the cruise ship terminal. Margerate will ask you when you want breakfast and if you don't know she will leave something out for you. The Spirit Trail is a world class bike and pedestrian path that is right out the front door and leads to the Lonsdale Quay the Sea Bus ( amazing) and to downtown Vancouver where you can walk ride the entire city through amazing paths. If you want info Margerate will tell you everything she has been here forever. If you are going to frequent Vancouver this place is a must , Margerate will be your go to. The rooms are way more than you need and tons of character. Fun exciting and a home away from home.

Very nice place to visit. The breakfasts were very good. The rooms were nice and very quiet. We had a great view from our room. Although we didn't take our dogs, it is pet friendly.

In a great location in North Vancouver. Safe &quiet neighborhood within a 15 minute walk of restaurants and activities. Wonderful service.

Accommodation more of a house share vs. bed and breakfast. The inside of the accommodation needs a revamp as very dated. Host is friendly but condescending and lack of basic privacy. Forced to provide credit card details even though booking through Airbnb. We have travelled the world and stayed in backpackers to 6 star luxury. Unfortunately the most unpleasant experience we have had. Avoid.

We got a room for four people for two nights. The room was impecable, clean and big, with a kitchen and a large bathroom. However, some catches: the room has a pet fee incorporated (25 CAD per night), which is non-negotiable and I’m not sure if that is even legal. Additionally, the washing machine is locked and costs 20 CAD (20!) to use it once. The breakfasts were quite nice but not a lot of food. Finally, Margaret didn’t mention the breakfast starts at 9am, a little too late if you are an early bird. Overall, the place is above average, but nothing out of this world.

Not recommended!! Very cramped and congested rooms. Too many stairs to climb even to get to the house made it cumbersome as we had heavy luggage. The ceilings are so low, you cannot but get hurt on your head. The door to the bathroom in our attic room refused to slide shut and we had to use the bathroom without privacy till she got it repaired. When the place is fully booked, there are way too many people in the house, so breakfast becomes next to impossible in the small kitchen. Margaret did not let us use the laundry facilities so I don’t understand why she has put up pictures of a washer and dryer here. Use the iron at your own risk!!! It is outdated and damages clothes. Honestly we lost our penchant for B&Bs after staying here.

I would warn anyone not to stay at this B&B. Our experience in late May was awful. This place looks nice in the photos, but is overpriced for what it is. Much maintenance and upgrading is needed to make this place acceptable as a nice B&B". Furniture was falling apart in our room and dining area

Ludicrously expensiveA guest house with all the limitations associated such as no choice over timings for meals or selection but charging 5 star prices.Clean rooms, and good quality complimentaries, but this nowhere near makes up for the lack of value. Might recommend if the price was Can 150 per night in high season but the Can 330 per night we paid was robbery
