Farm Away

Awesome place for kids and adults. Spent the day in the pool and night around the fire eating Smores. Kuds loved the horses and chickens. Free eggs daily is a nice bonus too! Will likely make it a yearly outing with the whole family. Highly recommend

We had an amazing stay at Farm Away. We were lucky to have the whole house all to ourselves (me and my family of 4). We could relax in the pool, roast marshmallows on the fire, visit the animals of the farm and enjoy the beautiful setting. We have benefited from the delightful breakfast and could cook our own (other) meals in the fully equipped kitchen. There are major grocery stores and restaurants only 10 min away. We can only recommend this wonderful place to anyone. It's even air-conditioned!

A great place to stay!! I stopped in with a couple horses and the owners were such a huge help. They made my night so much easier!The house was very clean and tidy, they made sure everything was ready for us and were incredibly friendly.

5 stars is not enough! The swimming pool amenity is well designed for both kids and adults. Being Pet friendly is a huge bonus. My small dogs had a ton of fun while staying safe within the property. Our family can't wait to be back!

Had the Farm Away rented for all of 2020. The owners are amazing and very accommodating. It's a great place to relax after work (all year / all seasons).It was also nice to feel a bit of normalcy through 2020 and dealing with Covid, the house is large and we could hang out have some drinks, sit by the fire or watch a movie. We had 6 crew in this house and there was room for all.There are activities for all ages and everything you would need is provided (cookware, towels, firewood, etc...)If the opportunity ever came by again I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks again for everything.

Our 3 generational family experience @ farmaway was excellent. We were privileged to have lovely weather with no rain, which helped.The facilities suited us very well - the queen sized beds were comfortable and there were lots of groupings of table and chairs, sofas, etc. for people to not have to be together all the time. The kitchen was well-stocked. AC worked well. The grounds offer much beauty with all the flower gardens, structures, etc. Even a secret garden. Our grandchildren absolutely loved the pool. Fortunately, the horses cooperated by showing up and letting us visit with them. Tracy does an excellent job of the animal tour. And Taralea has a way with beauty and whimsy with all the gardens. I would highly recommend this venue.

We had a very lovely stay at Farm Away. The owners were attentive to our requests and made us feel welcome and then gave us liberty to walk and explore the beautiful grounds.An ideal setting for a Bed and Breakfast, a retreat or a getaway!We look forward to visiting again.

Tracy and Taralea was very friendly and the communication with them is very easy. It’s not our first time staying at Farm Away but everytime we stayed, it is always an unforgettable experience. We feel relaxed with her cozy and clean cabin. Their huge yard/ garden adds more extra fun to our stay. The clean and huge pool was awesome for the kids and even adults to enjoy during this hot summer. We also had an extra fun checking out the horses and harvesting chicken eggs at the farm. We had a great time staying at Farm Away. We cannot wait to go back:))

Tracy and Taralea, the owners of the Farm were amazing hosts! I booked this for a staff retreat (25 employees) for 2 days. The location is fantastic. Far enough to get away from the city, but close enough that staff could make it out for the day if they did not want to stay the night. It's right outside of Portage La Prairie, which was convenient for trips to the grocery stores for any items we forgot to pack. We thoroughly enjoyed using the pool, the BBQ, and all the space that the property had to offer. Hoping to make the trip out to Farm Away an annual tradition.
