Gyubee Japanese Grill (Scarborough)
Gyubee is highly touted and always busy and for good reason. The service is top notch, they were constantly checking up on our table. They asked if there were any allergy concerns, food was brought out to us quickly. Definitely my ideal table BBQ experience. The meats were presented nicely, well marinated for the ones that had marinade. They were pretty strict with their 2 hour time limit, giving a last call notice. They have creme brulee and good soft serve ice cream for desserts.Make sure you have a reservation or else you probably won't get in. It's a bit pricey but you get value for every dollar spent there. Would highly recommend

I came here with my brother. First time, heard it's similiar to chakos but better. I used to go to chakos and Korean BBQ and grill up a storm with the mandem. Now I gave gyubee a go, will say there are a few really good quality meats specifically beef short rib which is really tastey. You get a grill change once for dinner, it got busy when me n homeboy were eating like round 6 and they did pull the it's 2 hours need to get desert and cut which is fair cause they were busy. I would give the five stars but to be honest the desert menu needs to have ice cream. For the price not to have some simple like ice cream a little kray. I love the ice cream at chakos. After each round if you ice cream break they is the key to keep going and get cha money's worth

My favourite Japanese BBQ restaurant! Service is always top tier and food tastes amazing. Always join the Yelp wait list before going as wait times can be up to 2 hours sometimes. Their peach mojito is to die for!

Really can't miss with Gyubee. I've been to 4 of their locations in the GTA and never had a bad experience. We decided to order the dinner menu at lunch and the food and service was great as always.

Gyubee Japanese Grill (Scarborough)
Hands down one of the best places I have been to eat. We went in for dinner, and you get to choose anything on the dinner menu, it’s a buffet style, so pick as much as you want for 2 hours.There is a wait time for 2 hours ! So we called in ahead to book the 2 hours and our table was ready about 20minute before our actual time. Great customer service and the food was good .We would definitely be trying this again

We had a great time, and left the place with our bellies satisfied. It was a last minute decision to come here, on a Friday night, after 8:00. Surprisingly it was only a 30 minutes wait until we were seated. Everyone was so friendly and nice, shout out to Yanna. She explained every dish to us, and was so friendly and nice, it made our experience even better. We loved the food. 5 Stars from us. We will come again!

Tasty food. Once ordered, it comes quickly. I like how the waitress named all the dishes knowing it was our first time there. She was very helpful but we had to wait a little while to order a couple more times. She regularly replaced our grill which was nice. The restaurant wasn't noisy nor smokey. There was a 2 hour limit which I didn't know about until I got there. As such, we were constantly grilling as some items take longer to grill and it's only one grill for four persons. The waitress let us know 30 minutes before time as a last-call. Even though it was a Tuesday, there were people waiting to be seated at 8:00pm. There was no miso soup and you're allowed only one icecream (cone or in a cup) per person. Luckily, we were able to order two creme brulees per person. Not sure if one can order more, we didn't. The creme brule was okay. The washrooms were on the second floor but too many stairs! They were kept very clean but one had no soap. They tact a 12% gratuity on the bill which is reasonable. The staff was polite despite being very busy and made sure to say goodbye when we left. Overall, it was a good, satisfying experience despite being time-restricted and slightly expensive.

Nice place to celabrate. A whole lot of meat! There is a limit of 2 hours dine in but hey we didn't even last 1 hour. That is a alot of beef in an hour. The miso salmon is also another dish that you could try and it is very tasty. We stuck to eating just the beef with very little carbs. Nice place -prepare to spend around $50 to $75 per person for dinner.

Absolutely delicious Japanese BBQ experience, well worth the price of $42 dinner on a weekend. There are cheaper options on weekdays and for lunch but we like to come for the entire menu. Kalbi beef, bibimbap, garlic shrimp, cabbage salad, seaweed soup, bean sprouts and sweet sausage are my favourite. My husband loves the lamb and meats. They have more locations. Highly recommend. Just to be clear, this is a place where you cook the meat yourself. Clean and wonderful fast service. You get 2 hours to all you can eat.
