Sobeys Todmorden

You really should have updated your online hours for this holiday weekend.It’s understandable to have closures, but sucks for myself and the 3 other groups of people who showed up at the same time I did to be disappointed (and left HUNGRY). I’m sure many other people were also mislead this weekend, because online, you are currently open.

Food are fresh, e.g meats, vegetables, fruitsPrices are reasonable (medium among all the markets, not the cheapest)

I would suggest not shopping here. Terrible store. Terrible staff. Terrible produce. Terrible management. Will never be returning here. The management should be ashamed.

Big place, not crowded. Great selection, wide variety of specialty counters. Helpful staff. Will be my go-to place when looking for more than basics.

If it was possible I would give the Todmorden Sobeys no stars.This is one of 2 reviews that are negative and I truly hope Sobeys reads this and steps up their game. I have been going to this Sobeys for over 20 years. While it has always been a second rate store at least the prices reflected this. Now the prices are higher than the Leaside Longos and the level and standard of products and produce is inferior.I am in the food industry and have never seen lettuces of this terrible quality for the prices they are. Packages carrots etc have mould and black spots. The meats are often not filled and there are many Basile’s that can not be had like necks and backs for soup, often whole roasts. Ground meats other than beef.There is Philadelphia cream cheese and that’s the only one yet this store butts up against multi million dollar homes. The bakery is humerous.The self check out takes longer than standing in line.All in all I would like nothing more than to re write this review so Sobeys pay attention.

There's a good variety of items in this store. Prices are higher here than in neighboring stores on non-advertised items. Quality of fresh produce is variable. Advertised specials are often not available. Department heads are knowledgeable and go out of their way to answer customer questions. Some checkout staff are friendly and efficient, and a few act like customers are an inconvenience.

Sobeys Todmorden is a total disappointment! Terrible!A few of the staff members are driving this place into the ground with the attitude and rudeness towards the consumers such as myself.The staff in the front are simply incompetent of great customer service with a smile and should not be dealing in this field. They are lucky to have a job. This is beyond my scope to really understand why the attitude.Why in making things difficult when I ask for something.Do they really dislike shoppers that much?Totally shocking and deplorable customer service is what I experienced.What I seen was a total lack of respect towards shoppers including myself. I will not be returning!

Great store, love the BBQ chicken. Perfect dinner for a hot summer day with a salad

This is honestly the most insanely overpriced place around. When it was 24hrs, I could understand paying a little bit extra for the convenience but that little bit extra is now at least 40% more than other places. Prices have jumped by at least 20% on most items. Even with delivery fees from Walmart, Walmart is the way to go. Everything from salad dressing to BBQ sauce to pecan pie is less expensive for the same product. Unless the item is on sale, avoid this place at all costs!!!! No clue how they stay in business or justify the upcharge.EDIT: glad to see I'm not the only one with issues about prices. Prime example, cereal for almost $10? Tim's Coffee, $23.99, 1 slice of cake, $4.99, chips sale price 2/$8.50??! I could go on but honestly just avoid this place. It's disgusting. And yes the staff could care less about you, they chat among themselves and ignore you. Only time they care are the security announcements they make when they profile someone....

Was falsely accused of shoplifting.. My purse was ripped apart and my shopping bag torn. I will be taking this to the better business Bureau. Worst experience ever
