Excellent care at Hilton Villa, warm friendly staff. They provide great activities for seniors and welcome all that care about and want to visit their loved one.

The care provided to my Mom was exceptional. And the care they provided us family during a difficult time as also exceptional. Thank you.

This is not a facility that provides proper care for the vulnerable. They cram as many seniors into a room that they can legally fit. The tiny shared room my mother was in did not even come with a toilet paper holder. We had to request this. Antipsychotics are freely prescribed to subdue residents. I agree with the person who posted about them not providing proper pain care. I too experienced this when my mom's hip was fractured due to a fall - likely because they had her overmedicated on antipsychotics. I have enormous guilt for accepting a bed at this facility and am thankful I ignored my extended family and had her transferred to another facility that has no shared rooms. Each room has a wheelchair accessible bathroom and caring staff with great communication. While I am grateful for this, it adds to my guilt that I left her in Hilton Villa.

My dear mother is at Hilton Villa. The staff, accommodations, and facilities are extrememly good. The staff especially treats everyone with incredible care and compassion.I live all the way in east coast but everytime I visit my mom she is happy and loves Hilton Villa. That more than enough proof for me.

The staff at the front desk were awesome. Unfortunately that was where anything good stopped. POORLY managed facility. Our mother needed pain management. She stopped taking pain pills orally on a Thursday. We requested she be administered her pain meds by injection and were advised they needed the doctors request. The on call doc did not respond until Monday. Our mother suffered excruciating and unnecessary pain for the better part of 4 of her last 5 days on this earth. This was entirely due to their negligence and lack of proper systems. Other minor issues:The bathroom taps leaked,Toilets ran in both rooms,No air conditioning in the rooms.Sadly, this facility is a part of the Fraser Health Authority. I am ashamed that this is the type of facility we allow to operate as a part of our health system. WE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY.

As a concern neighbor who lives near by this facility and walks past every morning to go to work and home.on multiple occasions I have to go to the front door to get the same resident help.the elderly man is constantly screaming for help.one day I stood on the street to hear where the screams for help were coming from.. went to the front door to get help for the man.on another occasions the elderly man was left on the outdoor patio on a hot day he was sitting there screaming for a staff member to come and help him.many of theses screams for help go on for long periods of time.clearly patients are not getting help.well it just happened again a little while ago he was screaming for help for some time.i again went to the front door of the building to try and get the same man help.if people in the neighborhood can her his screams for help from outside a closed building there is no way the staff cannot her him.today I finally had enough I told the person at the front door that I have stop here several times to get this man help and if I continue to here it I'm going to start calling the police every time for help because the staff are clearly not doing there job.judging by the other reviews I would not leave a family member at this facility

My friend has been at Hilton Villa for over two years. When a transfer was offered to a brand new facility, she chose to stay here where she felt comfortable and content. She especially loves the kind staff, the beautiful garden and the food.

I was contacted by Fraser Health last December regarding a bed being available for my father. I went to the facility and was given a tour of the facility and a look at the room my father was going to share with another resident. The room was a bit small, and there were a couple of things that needed fixing, but I said yes. 2 days later when I moved my father in, it was all fixed and looked great. I am so glad I said yes. The building is old, to be sure, but it's clean. The staff have been amazing and my father has settled in nicely. I visit him every day and have found that he is well taken care of.During the past 4 years as I have cared for my father at home, he has been to at least 3 different care facilities in the Fraser Health Region for respite care. I must say that some of them were spit and polish clean, and very new, but they were also quite sterile, and cold. At Hilton Villa, everyone is treated like family. The communal dining room is cozy and friendly. The food is good, and as family I can participate in the meals for a nominal fee if I wish.In reality, a building is just a bunch of walls and a ceiling, it's the caring staff that work with my father and the other residents, that make it a home. Keep in mind that there are approximately 30 residents that all have advanced forms of Dementia, including Lewy Body Dementia and Alzheimer's, those that are non-verbal, and those with mobility issues, it's difficult to accommodate them all into all activities, and difficult to do things in a timely manner. There is only so much staff can do in a day. But they do the best that they can.By cutting down a facility, you are in fact making a judgement on those people whose family members are in that facility. You are basically saying that they are thoughtless and uncaring for allowing their loved ones to live in this facility when you have only visited it for one hour, one day. I am very happy that my father is at Hilton Villa. It is always looking for new ways to make the facility look less like a facility" and more like a home. Recently the floor where my father resides was had a large mural painted on one wall to give the residents some colour and a scene to look at. It's spectacular! The baths' walls were also painted with lovely paintings to make the bath experience a little nicer. The painter had done research on Alzheimers's and used her knowledge to make pictures that would engage the mind of the residents. I like the way the management responds to issues and makes changes as soon as possible when necessary."

The care my father gets here is amazing. The staff is caring and supportive. It has been a very hard time for him as he doesn’t understand why he is here and not at home, they have made us all feel comfortable with the care he is getting. The staff goes above to help with all his needs. It may not look like much but they make it feel like home.
