Grand Valley Clover Farms

I will start with the positives of this family owned store. It is handy, beyond a doubt - especially when you don’t feel like driving into Orangeville/Shelburne, it has a decent selection for the size. On the other end, there is more often then not food for sale that is past expiry dates. Just last week I was there and mayo was full price and 7 days expired. The produce is definitely not worth it. It has its use for a quick stop if you’ve run out of milk or a ingredient or two short for a recipe, outside of that, it looks like your taking a trip to another town.

A clean supermarket were that you find what you are looking for. Lots of parking, nice people who work there. I bought a ticket for the lottery I let the nice woman decide what one I won $100.00. Drop by and take a look at at it the prices are about the same as your get in the city's.

Very nice place to shop while vacationing in the area. Good selection of reduced meat items that are near to expiry date but good for the BBQ that day. Staff is friendly and helpful and the selection is good for a small town grocery store. Freshly baked pastries are great. Fresh veggies. Regularly have specials each week.

Cashier was very grumpy and wouldn’t respect my mask exemption. Ended up leaving groceries there and will definitely not be supporting them again.

This store has changed ownership once again. To the credit of the newest owners they are doing what needed to be done long ago. The whole place has been cleaned and painted, instillation of new bright lighting, and re-laying out the store so that it has a better flow to it and is more open and bright. The staff here has always been exceptional and is very helpful and knowledgeable. The pricing is somewhat higher than nearby Orangeville, but there they are larger chain stores so bear no resemblance in size to this store in a small town. The choices at times are a bit lacking to what one would expect, although there is already a remarkable increase that has started. The store runs specials every week and you can get most of the required staples here. They also have Chester Chicken ready to eat, which is very popular for a quick meal and on weekends for the local campers. If you want something in particular that is not on the shelf, if you talk to the owners they will try to get it for you as they are very accommodating.I think with the improvements being made by the owners that we should give them a little time so that they can bring this store back to the past glory days, only time will tell but I for one am willing to give them a chance.

waited until I got to Grand Valley to get the Fried Chicken always good.NOT THIS TIME purchased 12 piece dinner and for sure 7 of the 12 pieces of chicken were re-fried and at least 3 pieces re-fried twice and/or was day old. I've never had bad chicken from them for 5 years, not anymore

This is, to my knowledge, THE grocery store of Grand Valley. It's not large but has decent selection. Is right on the main street. Got a good steak, salted butter and sliced mushrooms there. Prices were acceptable. Staff were present and doing their jobs. No complaints. It's good to have it there.

Convenient for emergency food runs and the girls working the cash are friendly. However, prices are quite high. Fresh produce rarely looks fresh, often mouldy...Freezers leak /questionably work. Needs tlc and a good cleaning.

People in the store not wearing masks property, staff didn't care about that. Staff not wearing masks property themselves, even taking them off at times in front of coustmers. No social distancing rules followed or enforced by the staff as I had random people in the store close to me and my elder family members.
